  1. sorry for the misleading info i meant to say the JIL which i thought he was referring to. No clue about the plain J which was explained nicely.
  2. NAPA won't have them , ebay is real cheap to buy oem osram bulbs for about $100 a pair in comparison to the exact same ones from the dealer. Just remove the casing at the back of the light and undo the clip find the notch to insert new bulb and you are good to go once you plug the harness in again.
  3. Actually most if not all other cars have to have the restrictor for sizing to prevent such issues. Contact Lexus head office on the problem , i doubt they will help but atleast they might note the issue.
  4. Members are limited to making proper posts otherwise they will be removed for not contributing to the club other than selling their wares.
  5. Projectors made for HID bulbs have a much better refractor built into them for great visibility as well as a sharp lens cut off for the twinkle effect.
  6. Fuel filter should be in the engine bay by the brake booster. Don't drive it at all as it will destroy your cat very fast. Moved to the RX section.
  7. You need to replace all the battery wiring as they are corroded. I may have some time to do it for you as it is pretty cheap to make the wiring and ends and fit it together.
  8. The J is for a factory Japanese marking similar to DOT or TUV
  9. Take it to an automotive detailer and let him polish it with a polisher with quick blasts to heat the plastic only slightly and it will come out real fast once removed from the car.
  10. I bought mine for $60 on sale the version shown here is 70 normal price and the ctecks starts at 80
  11. Get is rust proofed which will lubricate your bushings.
  12. Use the stock wheels as winters and buy a nice set of after market ones for summer to give the car a whole new feel as well as getting rid of the noisy harsh bridgestone runflats.
  13. most auto stores do code checking for free. eBay is the cheapest to get a simple one.
  14. NO no tell Steff i referred you . LOL :) they are both great guys who will be able to get you exactly what you need.
  15. It does not show the one i have as it is only available from Canadian tire. Mine is also cheaper than the cteck one but with all the same features. I personally like mine as it will regulate the charge by itself to maximize the battery under all conditions. Also i can replace it real easy at CT if i need to . I also have a better one than the one pictured as it does 2 amp, 10- 30 amp and 60 amp start for choices.
  16. The main seals are the valve seals and other gaskets as they get old they can be more ideal candidates for crumbling using seafoam as it makes them slightly more brittle. I still use the stuff on everything even my lawnmower and snow blower. One quick note is that it needs the engine to be slightly warm as it has a low boiling point where it just evaporates. If the engine is too cold it pools ,too hot and it just evaporates before doing anything so it is hard to get a nice balance.
