  1. Everyone has opinons but not everyone has facts. Using 10 40 will not effect the car , if anything it will improve the cylinder compression on start up as the car has aged and is not the same specs for tolerance it once was. a 10 weight oil is only that at cold start until it gets heated to be a 40 weight so how this could cause an issue is beyond me. I use motul 10 40 and it is the best oil i have ever used hands down. Low idle issues or alternator output ????? That really is a joke. If your car is not idling properly you have a bigger problem than oil. Alternator amperage output is directly associated to rpm so unless the car is not idling proerply it has no bearing on oil weights. A one step up on cold being slightly thicker is NEVER going to cause a problem . It stays at that viscosity for a few moments before it heats up and gets thicker by virtue of it being oil. Already using a sythnetic base oil is going to improve the start up efficency more than using a conventional base stock oil . So you are already ahead of the game.
  2. I know one member did import a 430 from the states , try searching to see if he did anything. All cars have to have DRL's to be imported.
  3. Take a look yourself to see where it is broken. Also a few searches may show where others have previously fix it with JB weld with pics, it is common.
  4. might want to post the part number on it.
  5. Agreed , the local district will be able to set up payment for damges to private proprty caused by public or contracted vehicles. Also make sure you file a police report.
  6. running lights ? Connected to what wires , installed where , factory oringinal. Not enough info .
  7. It has nothing to do with rules to my query. The first 3 ok fine but to keep posting all the cars on the street he washes and vacuums , what is the point of that . Is their a special technique to it ? Because i don't see it other than post after post of washing cars. Where does the Lexus community gain from these posts? Not saying Josh is not a nice guy as that has nothing to do with the posts. Are you saying because he works for the US army in Upstate NY that it means all servicemen/women should be exempt from trying to contribute meaningful posts and just any random blog type posts? You pull off a job like the one done on the Toyota Century and that is worthy posting as it shows great skill and possible goals that can be achieved. Its cool if its his car as a member of the forum and he shows what he did as an update , but to update every single monotonous wash and vac is pointless. That is all i am saying , nothing to do with what he does or who he is , just looking at it as posts. ;)
  8. If i say the linkage behind the key cyclinder is broekn what do you think you need to do?
  9. ?? Your looking for parts, you are looking to talk , you have a problem? Please state a question clearly and you will get an anwser.
  10. new alternator does not sound good , get is checked.
  11. point? Its a Kia on a Lexus website?
  12. You already changed the tranny mount and engine mount so that takes them out. Change the coolant temp sender as it makes the tranny shift really weird .
  13. the linkage behind the key cyclinder is broken
  14. moved to rx forum
  15. Go to the dealer and order a master wallet key .
  16. We don't have the same car so a part number will not help you. Like i said listen for the click to find it .
  17. check carson for a picture of the part with bolts for a visual. Might want to try and make a normal sig instead of a novel.
  18. there is no space to fit a left side muffler as the spare tire blocks it , besides the v6 barely has any power to warrent using a dual anyway.
  19. it is just bolts , nothing that needs a tutorial as it only goes one way. Sak , what is up with the novel for the sig ? The damn thing is a blog .
  20. you either did not clean it enough or it is broken and nees to be replaced.
  21. It is from the power steering being assisted too much at higher speeds.
  22. The sensor is not positioned right or the eye does not have an opening for it on the glass. Does the glass say lexus on it? The sensor could have been damaged but it is unlikely.
  23. I got denso universals as well from ebay and that was for the ones after the cat . For pre cat i would 100% never use anything but denso's. The variablity of the data stream is not something i would trust to another type.
