  1. did they explain how it was fixed? if i can fix it without bringing it to the dealership that would be ideal.
  2. yeah i can hear it, but just barely, when i turn slightly right. but it's when i turn the wheel almost to all the way right is when the noise is very loud. i took the wheel off to see if there's any scrape marks on the brake shield but it's difficult to see with the rotor still attached. if my car is recalled for the brake cylinder i'll see if the mechanic can take a look at it while it's there.
  3. i've been ignoring the noise till now but now it's unbearable. it sounds like a piece of metal being dragged along the pavement. it only happens when i turn right. the sharper the turn, the louder the sound. can anyone help me figure out what's wrong?
  4. there were 3 major TSBs that i had done on the car. i forgot exactly what they were but one was for the brakes, i think something about the rear brake shields. another was for the electric power steering. the third was for the engine. i'm pretty sure it was for an oil leak. i was sent something in the mail from lexus regarding it. you didn't get any notices?
  5. it used to before i had it taken in for the engine TSB. did you get that done? haven't checked it recently but i don't remember the oil level dropping too much afterward
  6. i don't think i've ever experienced the car wandering in crosswind but then again maybe there's your answer =)
  7. i haven't and u bring up a good point but i don't think that's it. i've noticed that it only does this when the engine hasn't been totally warmed up yet and i suddenly accelerate and let the revs climb briefly, then slow to a stop. this issue's been happening within the first 10 minutes of driving. members on the ClubLexus forum have been experiencing this too and no solution's been found =/
  8. it happened again today. i floored it for a second and then stopped at a light shortly after. the car was shaking, the tach was bobbing up and down between 400-600 RPM. put it into neutral and it bobbed between 600-800 RPM. this happened no more than 10 mins into driving. i started driving and then everything went back to normal the next time i stopped. i probably won't find a solution to this soon but i'm using the forum to keep a log so someone can use this in the future.
  9. I was slowing down for a red light today when the car shuddered for a second. it's happened once before. the car was already running for about 20 mins and the engine temp read normal. it was 45 degrees out and i have no modifications at all. what could be the problem?
  10. sometimes simply unhooking the battery for a little while solves the problem. if it comes back then it's something major.
  11. the ticking noise is due to the direct injection systems on our cars. the reason why you don't hear it in the older cars is that they don't use this new technology.
  12. what djspawn said was what i was talking about. i read the same thing somewhere else. like he said, use some kinda thin but sturdy wire or cord and try to unblock it.
  13. in the 2006+ GS's they said the drain hose was clogged or somehow got moved and it was pouring into the cabin. try getting under your car and looking under the b-pillar (between where your front and rear doors meet). i think this was the solution?
  14. no problem. i haven't been on this forum for a few days, otherwise i would have replied sooner. what the the tech say was wrong?
