  1. bad bulb or ballast switch side of the bulbs to figure out which one it is , then find a replacement bulb on ebay for about $100 a pair instead of $400 each at the dealer . They are the same Phillips ones without the markup.
  2. Did not know any of them came with it.
  3. When my parents went to school in the West Indies they HAD to learn Christianity, Islam and Hinduism. Part of it was an understanding , respect and tolerance of others . I also took part in all 3 as well as part of my social spiritual and educational life. Religion should not be something you are told you have to be but what you feel is right for you.
  4. If everything is way off then yours cats are dead.
  5. You would have to remove it
  6. you need to take the door panel off to acess the screws behind it.
  7. 98 LS 400 is a d2r bulb it just unscrews after twisting off the rear cap.
  8. For a perfectly in spec uneven wear issue it usually comes down to lots of hilly areas or extra weight pushing the car down causing the wear. On older cars it is usually from worn shocks.
  9. I would get the dealer to install it for FREE> Why in the world would they do that? In Canada ALL LS models are covered in 3m clear bras from Lexus Canada in Toronto before being delivered to the dealerships. So even if it comes from Japan and arrives in Vancouver to be sold there . It still has to go to Toronto before being shipped back to Vancouver to be delivered finally. Lexus know the paint is soft which is why it is mandatory to have a clear bra on all of them. I know i will never have a car without it again but if i bought one new with so many issues of paint it would need to be addressed.
  10. I notice people in colder climates find the heats to not work properly. I find my ES and LS the exact same but also the alternator is not providing enough voltage as they age and the seats do not heat up unless it is at 14 volts. One remedy is to replace the alternator but also changing the grounds and alternator wire helps a good deal also.
  11. There is actually a frame on the LS from front to back. It probably crumpled the sheet metal between the rear rails. The rebar connects to the rear ends of the rails. I would make sure you are getting an amazing shop who guarantees the work for at least 5 years not to leak and will look after it with a rental if needed as rear end hits are hard to fix right.
  12. I think the valve is bad or dirty but it may be a bad battery as well. Try charging the car over night and see if it still does it. You may need to clean the valves.
  13. Get your acc signal from the cell phone harness in the trunk.
  14. Nothing will go wrong by using it .I would do it before to increase your mileage and reprogram your car to the new changes by a long drive.
  15. Centering or as they are called Hub centric rings are easy to get anywhere for $10 for a set of 4 but the bolt pattern is an issue.
  16. They only auto fold when the car is turned off , if the driver tells it to close then the driver has to tell it to open or it will also stay closed as it overrides the auto system.
  17. I might suggest peeling off the textured pain as it is proably messing up the sensor.
  18. The factory has a switch next to the mirror adjustment for the sound on the 92-93. If it is an aftermarket alarm since it has 2 led's on the dash bezel and it is staying solid , i would say that it is in valet mode. Look under the dash on the drivers side for a switch you may have presses putting the system in valet , reverse it and it will go back to normal.
  19. I have used run rite on my LS and it works good , it did not make a major impact for me as i run sea foam at each oil change. ON another car that is not decarboned as ofter it should be much more of an impact.
  20. Would your insurance not cover the replacement costs of getting a new car and the balance is kept on it? Normally with a lease they just pay a replacement cost to either you or the leasing company. So this should be the same unless you no longer want the same type of car.
  21. Sounds like he only bought LED bulbs and not a complete housing swap with strips of leds instead.
  22. I wonder if it is the same as Meguires NXT detailer. Quick detailer was nice but not as good as final inspection but the new speed detailer from NXT is even better.
  23. Buy new o2 sensors as used ones always fail after reinstalling them.
