  1. look on the left stalk of the steering wheel do you notice the headlight switch on the outer part well a little more toward the wheel there is a small bezel wheel with a little light with its beam facing down that is for the fog lights they will only turn on if the headlights are all the way on
  2. there are no rca's on your deck true the stock amp is inder the passenger front seat also none on any newer oem or any oem stereo that i know of there are replacement face plates to place any deck you would like you can have line adapters to change the speaker output to an rca one but will sound distorted if bought for 12 dollars there are some that cost 150 and are beautiful i used them in my es before i changed the head the speaker might be blown but unless you remove them or look under the parcel shelf to check them there is no way of knowing
  3. i think he means which car in the over all pic beside the tent of which car belongs to whomever it might be and any mods they did very nice tent pic though it might have looked real nice with a gs like yours on 3 wheels steve lol
  4. i have aftermarket on my es they are great as you must already know over halogen bulbs but the only way to get an oem sytem in a car is to sell your and buy a modle with that option as you would need the headlights relays controllers computer bulbs ballasts rear suspension height sensor and a new engine harness to top off the job almost every part is closing in on 1000 each so cost about 10 grand maybe plus labour
  5. i am actually going to be in edison new jersey this weekend
  6. you do have a supra inline 6 start there for parts but the best bang for your buck is to sell it and buy a 400 or 430 lots more power cheaper than parts and labour
  7. i am guessing you are trying to compare a 3 series to an es 300 the 92-96 es 300 are good cars the 94 is the better one as the engine changed and is still used and 95-96 is the best of the mcv10 chasiss as it came with different head and tail lights plus fogs it has the 1mz-fe engine which is bullet proof and is still in use today in many toyota products there is not alot of aftermarket support for these cars either but they don't break and use the camry parts as well so replacments are cheap the 3 series is nice btu is expensive to fix parts and labour it handles nicer has lots more mods for it but is more a drivers car hope this helps
  8. any brand of spry will work no real differences also i used to use and still do use meguires endurance tire finish it keeps the rubber perfect and has a nice slightly tacky feel so it seals even better than the silicone which is thinner and is better for simple edges
  9. yah the referal system i just noticed the other day i had one referal but i have no idea who made it to me lol
  10. well all of them are much cheaper than the zymol crystal con cours wax it comes in a crystal jar and is refillable for life for around $1500 us dollars
  11. funny lexus goes for perfection with so many things but not with self adjusting valves like most cars today or timing belts that actually last like the new vdubs with a kevlar belt ( same stuff they make bullet proof vests from)
  12. anyone using synthetic tranny fluid experiancing problems as i talked to someone else once with a 94 and up es who also used synthetic and it seems to be wearing away the clutches somehow
  13. how odd to me all problems point to the alternator hell mine never likes to stay at 14.4 vdc at idle once the engine is hot it is fine above 1200 rpm just idle it drops to 10vdc
  14. welcome with a referal from MR.S that can only mean you like serious mods what plans do you have and what was your last car :magic:
  15. it takes me a whole day to wax my car i use the mothers 3 step 1 pre-wax cleaner 2 polish 3 wax with meguires final inspection in between each step( this clears the paint for the next step ) making an ultra deep look for the paint i have the meguires 3 step but i find it watery the mothers clay bar is ok aswell but i don;t have any use for it yet i also use coco butter for the leather cake it on in the summer heat and bake it on do it for 2 weeks and the leather is liek new after all leather is just skin in a way
  16. hey steve@ of all those tires you didn't mention any of the models (gm even makes crap models and much better ones) personally i think toyos for summer are the best hands down they are also used in a shaved version for scca track events i have 225/40 18's on mine and love them i had kumho 712's and they are crap but cheap i have driven many cars with toyo fz4's and i also rank them lower than the kuhmo's really bad on traction wet/dry noisy and wear quickly
  17. the solution isn't usually the gasket press them ,do they feel soft still? if so then it isn't the gasket at all i learned the hard way i bought new ones for both sides an it was no use the seal between the glass and gasket is not sealing using the silicone spray will help alot the other more permanent way is to have the glass on inside the door adjusted so it is against the gasket again the biggest problem is people closing the door by the window not the door handle causing it to go out of alignment and causing a leakage of air also silicone spray the sunroof also and trunk as air will whistle anywhere it can don't forget the rubber edges around the doors and body try the silicone first as adjusting the window glass is a pain in the !Removed!
  18. as they say anything is possible and can be done with money i am pretty sure they would say it would fit it it could as then tehy could sell the same part for 2 models meaning cheaper to stock and make but anything can be made to fit and i have seen a few es's with an led spoiler so it is possible to have the best of both worlds if that is what you are looking for
  19. i think the only reason why lexus won't sell you the manual is because it is out of date plus don't make those volumes anymore and dealers already have them so no real need to reissue i did buy my 3 manuals from lexus for my es 300 for about 350 canadian worth its weight in gold trully their is nothing better than a model and year specific manual ebay always has manuals for under 100 but usually not all 3 they are body engine and electronic wiring diagrams and schematics there is loose connection on the lcd borad i have the same problem but i have to push on the right corner of the lcd to bring it up funny enough the time displays fine on the same screen
  20. there are no aftermarket grilles except making one custom the stock one is rather cheap$$ is metal and comes painted already plus it is only 4 bolts
  21. there are no screws on the vent it is just held in place by clips it takes time alot of it infact to remove the vents it must be done slowly to make sure you don't break it i think there are 2 above and below the vent holding it in place then you can acess the bolts holding the ac / radio braket in place
  22. as far as the manuals say the ac light will blink when there is excessive back pressure on the ac compressor i think if you hold the recir /fresh air button as well as turn the key forwarrd and press the auto one( all at the same time) it will go into diagnostic mode and give you a code if any after testing all the lights post what it is and i will tell you what my manual says about it to remove the antenna hold the fm button down trun the key same time it will force the mast out cost about 20 from lexus for a new one put the new one teeth facing toward the rear of the car and it will retract when the key is turned off again oh you also have to remove the slotted retainer nut at the base of the ant first
  23. if you are geting a new deck run the speakers off of a new amp put in the trunk otherwise it will need a good line output balancer the 10 buck ones suck chaeper to get an amp for the rca's on your new deck the stock amp will not work with an aftermarket deck metra makes the install kit most car audio shops sell them for 40 canadian
  24. simple put yes simple to install feels great after installed
  25. just maybe they bridged the wiring from the taillight and another one from the brake light? causing the alarm problem and the spoiler light to not work reconnect it properly to the 3 rd brake light this may resolve all of your recent issues it also sounds like the wire for the trunk sensor in the trunk lock mechanism has a problem take a multi tester use the positive from the 3rd brake light and ground the otherside if it is an led style it will only work one way for the wiring
