  1. i am pretty sure it is a HID based set up Your bulb may be going or it might be cracked. Otherwise it is probably your ballasts but that is 2 parts consisting of a ballast and an ignitor. First never turn the HID's on and off immediatly. You need atleast 1 minute between cycles with them to either cool or heat the salts contained in them or it turns red for a few seconds which is a bad reaction. Basically sometimes they do go out if their is a fluctuation in voltage as well. If you can turn them on normally after then i would not worry about it.
  2. If i am reading this right the peices missing are the ones under the bumper under and behind the rad. They are used to divert the airflow through the rad from the front of the car through the rad and under the car after exit. This reduces turbulance and overheating issues as it also make the fan more effective. Mine where replaced once at an average price of about 300-500 each
  3. If your car was in an accident prior to you then it more than likely will leak as many rear end collisions break hidden seals Their is a rubber or metal plug under the spare tire is yours still their or not pushed up from reversing over somthing? I would say check the ant bezel but it would leak straight down and not by the spare.
  4. that is not a bad price at all but used suspension is always iffy get the original bill of sale for warr purposes
  5. they do a great job for low speed impacts under 30 mph over that they also do a good job but that is when you start to get hurt more than the truck since the vehicle is made to crumple under stress but instead sends the velocity changes to the passagners instead of it being absorbed If you can get a custom mount that breaks under more than 80 punds of force then it will protect the vehicle until it is needed to protect you instead
  6. 4000-4300 is oem spec and is bright with a hint of yellow but only in comparison to another colour kelvin of another hid bulb 6000k is more white with no yellow and is barley less bright than 4000- 5000k 8000k is ok for look and ok for driving but nothing special over halogen 10000 and 12000k are for look nothign else ,worse than driving with halogens i had a pair of 8000k and they worked ok but i hated them since i had 6000k before which would let me see all of the road.
  7. btw ppg does make many of the oem glass as well. Like the solara comes with it from the factory
  8. agreed if not oem PPG is very good and that price is also amazing But don;t you have a windsheild pemium on your insurance to cover it ? But i still prefer OEM , they resist cracking from rocks but then again it also depends on how well seated the windsheild is at the time of curing for a reduction of stress points One very overlooked thing about replacing a windsheild is the trim. Many companies use a basic black rubber seal instead of the proper rain gutters chromed . Find out if they can remove them without damaging it or if it inculdes a replacment set.
  9. you are going to have to make a custom bezel for it then since the stock space is not square
  10. they are adjustable so you can smooth it out but what do you want to do with the vehicle just lower it or drive
  11. read the FAQ mp3's sound like crap anyway using a tape convertor is negligable since they both offer low quality reproductions
  12. any grille guard guards the sensor as well so you save the truck some damage but more than likely the airbags won;t go off.
  13. it is internal so the tranny has to be removed to acess through the bell housing ,not just a matter of just dropping the tranny and replacing it but gutting the tranny to get to the back end.
  14. most kits are ok and the struts can be replaced easy enough i personally don;t like them as it is a show car thing not for daily driving. Besides look at how they had to modfy the roof and cut and weld them onto the door tops to make it work for some reason.
  15. hood stuts and heated seat switches. what colour is the interior?
  16. The i think is because you won;t know if they were changed before tp non serviceable which means if you buy cartridges it will be of no use . Just buy the complete strut assembly and be done with it, never mind cartridges do rust into one peice over time.
  17. I got one i can get yah for about $150 shipping shouldn't be much by ground but it is heavy
  18. Fixing basic damage doesn't inflate your prices as such but keeps you from being nickled and dimed by supposed repair estimates. But if the car is not a big seller in your area then just sell it damaged
  19. If a leaking oilpan drops on to the exhaust manifold directly under the pan it will smell. It is not like the exhaust on your ES
  20. check to make sure you don;t need to add some more fluid to the brake booster resevouir
  21. oem shocks are KYB aftermarket versions of the kyb branded ones are just as smooth with a slightly better valving for driving
  22. Is it the original windsheild? Check for the toyota/lexus etching and the original 1800 25lexus sticker on the windsheild
  23. Most luxury vehicles never have a light fo rthe engine. Guess they never figure anyone to go in their and actually look at anything in the dark. I guess you only run out of washer fluid during the day or call roadside assisstance if it is dark to refill it for you.
