  1. search using the words headlight clean and clear
  2. it won't blow it up but the words race and ES shouldn't be in the same sentance.
  3. best advice is to sell the ES and buy an SC if you want to race the chassis is no where near race type specs nor is the engine
  4. What rules? That is a load of crap. Got get one it was with the car when it was sold, you didn;t buy a cavalier
  5. If the actual glass is not cracked then it should be covered under warr. It is the laminate added to the shatter glass. It is part of its saftey feature. The front windshield has it sandwiched in between the 2 layers of glass to keep it from shattering in your face or cutting you on large bits
  6. You would be suprised what can't be fixed properly. Any bent wheel can be repaired easy enough. any peeling chrome rim can be replated. Even cracked with chunks missing can be rewelded eaisly.
  7. You cannot legally work on yoru own A/C system ,you need a proper purge system to do the work properly anyway.
  8. did you do a search to find that as an issue?
  9. The bypass is a nice idea, but it makes the CAI redundant as it loses vacum and sucks hot engine air as it is open all the time. If you are worried about a major rainfall ,pop the pipe off at its joint. If the AEM is made of 2 peices like most them it should be abel to take a bypass of 3inches, unless they never thought of the room needed to be taken up by the bypass. In that case just shave an inch or so off the end. Remeber it is not really a valve as nothign open or closes. It is a strip of foam filter which normally sucks air in as a secondary but when water begins to be injested the weight of the water causes the natural gravity to vacume the air form the engine side of things.Problem is it takes large amounts of water at low speen for this to work.If you are moving at a high rate of speed and plow through a deep puddle the water gets forced up the intake anyway , and .............................bye bye engine anyway as no bypass can do anything about that.
  10. Add the washers to the mount on the engine side of the dogbone. I can't remeber the size.
  11. not by us but they now all have V-power.
  12. Had the ureathane , it worked for a while. Just added a washer as recommenede by another member. It is much better than the ureathane ever was and easier. Luckly i don;t have to worry about a bar that rubs like most.
  13. do a search this is the 3 or 4th trannny thread in 1 week. get a filter
  14. throw a washer in the mount to stil "give" but hold firm under hard acceleration
  15. Easy way to tell look at the cig lighter for ash look in the cig plug for black ash look at the ashtray look for burns
  16. Personally as long as they don't look like the ES and SC they will look good. Styling trends are just that ,every car maker has a design theory which merge over to others during creation. Otherwise we would have cars that looked like a 82 delorean , a 1996 caprice classic and ferrari 360 all at the same time with no similar designs.
  17. that's a thought DC if that much protection is needed.
  18. water ? not viscous enough for my idea
  19. I checked last night and no one has one around. How bad is the rim you have did you find out if it can be refinished?
  20. clean the throttle body it may be the egr and/or acoustic carboned up
  21. Clear bras a look best , i hate regualr type vinyl bras ,it takes away from the look of a car It can be removed from oem paint easy but bonds really well to any paint. A good craftsman can fit the bra so perfectly you won;t even know it is on except when the parts are removed. Vinyl bras really make a car looked dated form the 80's
  22. I agree and disagree I like a strut bar for what it is worth. The mcv chasisis soft and it definatly stiffens it up. The style they make now is a round tube ,i have a wide flat rod which can take more torsion. All the other bars from no name companies are the same for this application. I worked for toucan industries (ractive, roadboy, eurolite and others) for a while as part of the marketing r&d sales team. The parts are all the same i know the companies slapping their names on the parts all from the same factory ,their is no difference as they are made the exact same. BTW no carbon fibre strut bar is carbon fibre they are all aluminum with a carbon wrap over them.CF cannot take that kind of movement which you already know
  23. who else makes the ebay ones? who makes $100 ones? Ebay works like this a distributer who is an "E" company makes large orders from the basment of their house from taiwan companies. They now get cheap product with little over head. UPS comes to their door to pick up and ship everything. They have no employees no store front no warehouse.( they all say they do) So you pay a large handling fee, since they sell the product for next to nothing with a crazy markup on the handling fee for shipping. Unless you are buying a real brand name bar like JIC,Cusco stillen their is no difference in any of them.
  24. Look at all the pics they are the exact same. Unless their is another company making them i have not seen them besides the vibrant/ractive style ones. The trd one does not fit though
  25. akim please keep negative comments to yourself.
