  1. I always have wanted to ask to see where most of us are at .
  2. Lexus does not use more than a 5mm difference in the offsets of there rims from fwd to rwd 43mm fwd 38mm rwd
  3. CHeck for manifolds being cracked. This is a consitant problem and most people are selfish and never come back to help anyone else with a resolution. So far it seems the MAF can throw the rear o2 code by running it lean. I don;t know how i just read it. I also do not own a 97 ES manual to know what the resistance and test procedure is for your year which could fortify if the maf and/or o2 is bad. Second is there seem to be some defective o2 sensors that were bought from toyota and resold as bosch .This is a problem that a RX owner is working through right now. They also had a cracked exhaust manifold also which was causing a problem.
  4. glad to hear as that is a much better option , thread closed.
  5. They will fit but to me tend to look much better on a 97-01 ES as the lines follow the cars lines in a similar design. Peopel have fit them fine though
  6. Because of the large surface area and thin tip material being made of titanium they cool rather quick . Funny enough i can drive my LS for 30 minutes and it still is barely luke warm. Sound is a tough thing to know for sure. I love mine because it is dead quiet but i am not done as i want to free it up still which will increase the noise but as i am doing it in stages i can follow the amount of noise i want to baffle if needed.
  7. Member suspended 30 days for not following the rules.
  8. Which car is it for and which rims? H&R and eibach is all you can get for hubcentric. The others only the same bolt pattern but not a center hub that the wheel mounts and centers to . You need a 5X114.3 bolt pattern 60.1 center bore and a 1.5 thread pitch for the studs which is pretty universal for all toyota 5 bolts.
  9. Run flats are a bit noisy but if you want a tire that has amazing road feedback they are amazing for that. As the sidewall is so stiff it returns corners to the steering wheel with precision.
  10. If the person who does your brake changes does not lube the sliders and pistons they can seize. The main slider bolts need lube to let the caliper float back and forth on the rotors.
  11. Where did you get you replacment parts? For the prices mentioned it would sounds like what the dealer charges. I would search as your MAF could use cleaning as well as this is a constant question for a rear failing o2 sensor
  12. Sounds like a sway bar type of issue from it going to its end of rotation
  13. First don't worry about being a woman you made a better more descriptive post than most people who know cars inside out. The key factor is exactly which fuse is being blown ,once that is determined a basic schematic can be assumed to the parts in peril causing the fuses to pop. Let us know.
  14. It is not tough to install but i would leave the shade tree with the day off for this one. You need a special tool to keep the teeth locked to loosen the cam bolts. Also should make sure everything is marked to ensure timing is set.
  15. The PS pump does not get air as it is an open resevouir system ,so any air in it will get recuiculated back to the res and left there. Btw have you removed the solenoid which adjusts the pressure according to mph? Good luck
  16. Well i don't know of anything in North America that uses those frequencies. It is not the ones set aside by the FCC or CRTC which is why North America has separate remote fobs form the rest of the world.
  17. this one is good for a permanent securing of the fogs ,beside unless you crack a lens you never need to remove them as you can replace the bulbs from underneath. Besides you could always drill them out. This page has quite a few other possibilities for removal later if needed. http://www.brycefastener.com/spinlok.htm
  18. I was agreeing it is brutal ,i don;t know why the rear seat is such a pita compared to every other car i have taken the back seat out of.
  19. Interesting, now i know
  20. I am sure i had this mentioned in the FAQ !? But yes it is held on by nothing but 2 clips on each side of it. They will let go even thought it seems like there is a bolt. Getting them back in means you better align the holes up first.
  21. You need to post a price. The cheapest to let them go for is $600 up to 1500 max
  22. It has sat for 5 years, since 2000? I made a list of codes in the general maintance section.
  23. Also post a topic once not in any forum you feel might work. thanks
  24. You must have missed what i said before. I believe you are part of the company who sells keys. This is your final warning post the name of the company again and you and the company will be removed from the LOC database. Meaning there is no way anyone will see the company name show up. I do not find that new members ever come onto this site just to let everyone know where they got a deal before ever setting foot in the LOC before. It seems to be a loophole that you may have thought worked for your company to bi pass the rules. You want to advertise then you will pay for it like any other vendor! I mentioned this before and you disregarded it. I will not mention this again !
  25. You should have washed it, i don't think lexus will do anything .you just got an unlucky bird that ate some crazy acidic food.
