  1. OEM are built to last. Very few aftermarket companies use a good grade steel and/or are nto coated to prevent rust. Other than OEM brembo seem to come in better than OEM because of the grade of steel used. Some other companies make rotors which are better but cost alot more than OEM.
  2. The noise is usually associated with the upper shock mounts but mainly isolated with the front and rear stabilizer/sway bars . In order to do a quick fix spray some pb blaster on all the bushings on the car . But if you want to isolate to make sure which one do it one by one.
  3. This is funny , It is not really a choice as it is a law everywhere to wear seatbelts. But just bypassing the wires under the seat will work. Sorry for your cousin , and your loss. You know the implications and risks .
  4. Anyone else ,throw me any resonable price , i am sure he might entertain a few offers.
  5. This one? http://translate.google.com/translate?u=ht...Flanguage_tools
  6. Yes and NO DC. There is a handle that is a Toyota option but it sure as hell is not that thing. It replaces the black plastic that runs along where the liscence plate lights are . A much better looking peice than that by far.
  7. Sounds very likely but get it checked it may be the solenoid a relay or the key
  8. Save the $20 and go to the dealer and buy the wiring schematic book for your car or look on ebay for the full break down. Did you check to make sure the seat controller under the drivers seat is still connected?
  9. The rear rims are flush with the body but the tires are not 275 but 245 so they are stretched back giving the look that they are not sticking out as much. So i i did upgrade my tires they would be flush with the body. Problem comes that with my suspension drop they would rub like crazy if it did go for the flush look. These tires just clear the rear 1/4 without any rubbing at all.
  10. A HID kit that is retor fit takes 10 minutes and no tools to install. To add an OEM kit you can just throw in the lights but the headlight angles will be off . So unless you to adjust the lights it will take longer to install oem . The headlights are the same from everything i have read in size . Other than them being clear and available in HID there should be no other difference. The actual reflector inside the lens is probably a different design buit will fit. Just get a new pair of clear ones from ebay
  11. I much prefer that critic' from you hawk as you state what you like and can be understood. Only from the lower pictures where i photo'd the wheels offsets can you see the mufflers. Normal angles do not show them at all as well the tips only stick about 1/2 inch from the bumper. I also have the body kit which makes the exhausts tuck in them which will be installed in spring.
  12. There are posts on how disable and modify the wiring for the exact menu screens needed to access the changes as well.
  13. The parts are not swappable from model years. Wattage is a marketing tool and really boils down to mean nothing in true audiophile standards. You need to figure out what and why you want to change/upgrade. Then and only then can a decision be made into the direction you will need to go in replacing and upgrading components.
  14. Neither they just hold the shock/strut (the dampener) in place. The ride will be similar with worn bushings just you will have alot of play in the alignment of the tires. This will cause the car to not respond well while driving on the highway especially.
  15. The product is real as it is sold on eBay. Not sure but i would assume the pic is real.
  16. I don't know of any Lexus using a line bus for audio signals. Which is a german type system.
  17. Did you report the break in to your insurance? If so i would ask them what they want to do. This would shift the responibility to them if the wheels are ever stolen from the missing lock nut. It would also place them in owness of getting a replacment lock to remove the old ones and a new set to install a lock set. Personally i feel any oem wheel doesn't need a lock nut. If you want my wheels go right ahead , that's why i have insurance . I already get jammed from behind from insurance for having zero claims or accidents .
  18. If i am wrong with any years let me know. Vote on your newest one you have.
  19. Vote on the newest one you have if it has been more than one.
  20. If you own more than one LS just vote on your newest .
  21. If you own more than one ES just vote on your newest .
  22. Does toyota not sell a rebuild kit for them?
