Don't apologize in anyway thieux it is not needed and i don't think anyone on this forum expects or needs you to. Being in the Caribbean over what everyone assumed was mainland USA is a very different story . My background is Guyanese and i know how wonderful and dreadful it can be all in one. Carrying a gun is a normal part of society there and is quiet well needed in the event of every day life. Most of my family there have teams of security for the houses business and personal transport because everyone everyday is trying to scheme the easy way to make a buck. The only thing that is different is some of the parts sourcing , they have tried and done an excellent job of recreating the Japanese build quality in a North American plant when i visited the plant a few months ago for a special invitation viewing. So real problems will only arise after a few years and if they do it will not be from the design and engineering but would be from parts makers who supply the smaller parts which have to be sourced around North America rather than Japan and other Asian suppliers. So either way if a part is found to not be up to " Lexus " par it would more than likely be resourced from Asia.

Ahh , but the major difference is the 1 and only purpose of a gun is to inflict injury or death . If that was the sole reason for owning a car then we would have a real problem. :) This is like the oil debate ,everyone has an opinion and is entitled to it. I would beg to differ , you can change the factory head unit to a radio and cd unit if you want . I have a alpine screen in my 94 ES so i know it can be done.

I only see it as ,you open the over the counter philosophy of selling a murder weapon to normal good citizens you allow the bad ones the same entitlement to own one also. I like jc19907 post it made sense to me. I also like the idea of tasers over guns as self protection as it is non lethal under most normal circumstances. But like the glass being half full over half empty guns for law abiding citizens= more acess for guns for criminals.

An aftermarket alarm with a shock sensor would be the easiest detractor. Or a good alarm shop who knows how to add a shock sensor to a factory alarm system which can be also done easily. BTW your model shows up as an AS 330 to the left of your posts

After your detailed update. Sounds like your fuel pump has to get up to speed and is having problems. You may have a clogged fuel pump which needs to be overcome when it is cold. I would look at an electrical problem either fuel pump or voltage related.

SO if you push the gas it stays running?

Most people don't think about it but a playstation is a DVD player so it works great if you are getting a player for your car just get a PS2 with a voltage adapter and your done. I did that with my car and everyone loves it. BTW i would check a few friends cars and see if the headrest are the same as i know on my ES the headrest fit from accords and many other cars .So if you can score some prefab ones it is much easier to just plug and play rather than install them to look right.

Like they say guns don't kill people ,people kill people. If the world was perfect there would be no guns needed. If it was kind good only officers of law and military would carry. I still feel no civilian should be armed besides he was stealing a bike............. call the police and let them look after it. I am sure it was a rush but not the kind i would be looking for. The points inside the back of the key cylinder is worn. It is especially a problem on cars with owners who have or had heavy keys. I did my father inlaws honda with a brand new peice with wiring harness and it was $100 which i find dirt cheap.

I have an Ipaq 5550 with a HP bletooth gps receiver running the navtec mapping system which is the exact same one as all cars with OEM nav. It works great and i can move it in all 4 of my cars depending on what i am doing. I have an outer case that has a belt clip which alllows it to clip onto the back of my ashtray. You pop the cover off with your key and then press you key into the hole beside the shifter.

I thought you could just buy the microphone for $100 from Toyota and add voice commands like the sienna and most other full function Toyota head units. I am pretty sure it is what i pinned in the audio video section. Also you need to find out which carrier you want to go with before being able to select a phone depending on its capabilities and protocol.

I know i got my hood ones from ebay for $50 never seen trunk ones other than the SC400. I'll have to take a look as mine are a bit lazy on my 98 also.
