  1. yep, my bad. it's all fixed now. steviej
  2. some of your questions may be answered here: www.tirerack.com you can go to an 18 on the GS and not worry about the brakes. 18's will give you the best cornering but it is a tradeoff. as you go up for the stock 17s, the bumpyness or feel of the road surface will also increase. I ride 16 in the fall/winter and 18s in the spring/summer on my ES, same brakes. steviej
  3. intellegentz, First off, try the SEARCH function on this website and look in the Audio/Video Forum of this website. I have removed some of the contests of your post pertaining to the selling of items on this forum because you are not an approved vendor on this website. Your offer is nice but I suggest you reread the rules and guidelines of the forum and review the specific rules and guidelines pertaining to and found in the Buy & Sell Forum on this website. I am curious to your return policy if any at all. Lastly, would your employer approve of this type of transaction? Thank you, steviej LOC Moderator
  4. I always have mine on. More than helping me see, it helps me be seen. I swithed out the lame stock H3s with PIAA ion crystals for a little change of color. steviej
  5. 2 things to think about caraveli, 1. stop typing in all caps.....it is as if you are yelling and we are right here. 2. that "stupid rock" will hold it's value decades longer than your car will. steviej
  6. sometimes Mike, it is just better to let things go. I'd say if it has been 3+ years and you have gotten no responce, then it is time to move on and stop trying to elicit one. steviej
  7. Yeah I did, thanks. I passed on them becasue the only two places around here that I would go to for tires don't deal Yokos. steviej
  8. Bren, The only help I can give is that I use the Mobil1 75W-90 synthetic gear oil on the rear diff on my Zuki. Haven't had any problems in using it in the last 2 years. steviej
  9. So, I guess you are cool with synthetic oil in your Lexus as long as it is Geunine Toyota Synthetic Motor Oil. Funny, I haven't seen that bottle at my dealership yet. you got a photobucket on that one so I know what to look for? Actually, it did cross my mind when I read it, but the original post was just an alertment. I don't think it was posted to incite and riot. However, should it go that way, I will shut it down. It has come very very close already. steviej
  10. The GS will give you the most room for modifications of all sorts. If I were in this situation, I would be doing that. (And then going broke with all the modifcaitons) steviej.
  11. I just ordered a set of Michelin Pilot Exaltos A/S, 215/60VR-16 for my ES. I will post up my feelings and findings after I get them on. Should be in a week or two. steviej
  12. I can't wait to read what monarch will have to say. :whistles:
  13. 1. Do a SEARCH on "Transmission filter" and 2. PM member SKperformance for good advice on this one. steviej
  14. if it only happens the first few times when the brake is applied, then yes it is usually the distinct sound of surface oxidation being removed from the rotors by the brake pads. Nothing to worry about. If it happens every time you apply the brakes, then it may be a problem. Where your pads recently replaced with metallic pads? steviej
  15. as did I. Ironic too, as I am in the market for one. steviej
  16. yep, it's corny all right. I'm gonna call her Ms. Matrix. sj
  17. That was an option suggested back on page 2 or so of this thread. When I looked into it, the cost of the Canadian ECU was over $1750 USD in 2003. The other problem was at the time the car was under warranty and Lexus would have voided the at least the emissions warranty should I have opted for this. The car would now not be or may not be ULEV compliant and they would not stand behind any unknown failures in any emissions testing that I had to have performed nor would they be responsibe to cover any failed part under warranty. I had taken this as maybe they haven't tried it and didn't know what would happen if you simply did a swap.
  18. Josh, they only advice I can give you is if you squeeze the toothpaste from the middle and she demands it be rolled up from the end..............then buy two tubes. simple as that. I am happy for you and wish you the best of luck. Inside steviej's mind :whistles: :P he's a gonner, poor kid and so young. I am glad you posted this up here. I don't blog. Sometimes you post alot of irrelevant threads....so what.....I just don't read them. just kidding. This is the general forum and as the site owners have entitled it: General Discussions members can post anything not even related to Lexus. Congratulations. steviej
  19. disconnecting the battery simply treats the symptom and not the cause. Get the codes read and follow a diagnostic flowchart to determine the actual cause for the lights. Keep in mind the the code produced may not always be the cause either. steviej
  20. and if you can then that means Meghan is in New York with you? Awesome. steviej
  21. until it melts again and becomes disfigured. What is the voltage on the Nordic bulbs? If they are higher than the stock 55-60W then you may want to consider a bulb harness that can handle the higher wattage or replacing the bulbs with the correct wattage bulbs. steviej
  22. never a prob. Welcome to the site. steviej
  23. www.irontoad.com www.newlexusparts.com www.lexus-parts.com www.l-sportline.com and associated link to Carson Toyota. I have used all four with no problems. It varies between prices, shipping, no shipping, etc. They all come out a few dollars from each other. But in all cases, most parts with less than going to the parts counter at my stealership. steviej
