  4. My 02 ES came with the wallet key and holder. In the picture, it the bottom right. The key gets me into the car and fits in the ignition. The holder has to be placed near the ignition. That was on my 02. I wonder with the keyless ignitions, what they have come up with now. steviej
  5. I am sure SW spoke up first because he got to the boards first. It is 10pm my time and I am just getting to LOC. You don't have a problem with that, too, do you? As for the brightness of the fog bulbs, or lack there of. Maybe you missed this part in my previous post. I think everyone has a BLING factor in them to some extent. Auto personalization is a billion dollar business. But honestly wwest, we are talking fog bulbs, and H3s at that. There are not very bright, no matter what who's bulb you put in. The additional light from the H3 bulb is negligable. Between your ranting in the pinned transmission thread and your off the wall BLING comments here, do me a favor: the next time you have a thought concerning one of my post...........just let it go. ;) okay? SoCal, I would be very interested in some pics when you put them in. The Xtreme Whites were close to the HID color but not that close. I am interested to see how the GT-X match up. Good luck.   7. call several Lexus dealerships and ask the service manager who they outsource their work to and then go there and have it done or have them come to your house. Just make sure they use heated sealant when they put the new shield in. I have had to have mine done, turned out the place my dealership has do the glass was 20 minutes from my house. You would never know the difference in the windshield, it was an exact replacement. Luckily in MA, you are allowed one free windshield per year with no deductible. steviej
  8. I don't have any really good pictures that show the yellow because the fogs only come on with the HIDs and they tend to flood the lens with light. In the first one, I tried to cover the HIDs. Here is what I got on file and keep in mind they ain't sized. PIAA Ion Crystals PIAA Xtreme White Plus
  9. your fogs are bulb size H3 and the stock bulb is pretty pale yellow. some options for replacement bulbs that I have tried: 1. PIAA Xtreme White Plus ~ $65/pair Stock is on left, PIAA bulbs on right. 2. Sylvania Silverstar ~ $40/pair 3. Currently I run the PIAA Ion Crystal because I like the yellow light better. PIAA has come out with a new bright white bulb called Super Plasma GT-X, however, I have not tried them. PIAA H3 bulbs Keep in mind, that if you have HIDs, they will pretty much overshine the fogs in any bulb you put in. There is some illumination of the immediate road in front of you and a little to the side. I hope this helps. steviej

  11. Routinely they are not covered under any warranty because they are viewed as a wear item. HOWEVER, there was a TSB (technical service bulletin) BR002-02 that came out in 2002 or early 2003 covering the 2002/2003 ES front brake pads and rotors. The originally shipped rotors and pads had a material mismatch that allowed for easy warping of the rotors expecially when cooled quickly (ie, hard braking then go through a puddle). I had to have mine done at 24,000 miles. Now, if the previous owner had the TSB work done, then the dealer is not going to do it again on the same car. This information would be in the Lexus computer database. If they did not have it done, the dealership should honor the warranty and TSB, thus charge you nothing. When a car is out of warrantly, some TSBs are a charge item. If it has not been done and the dealership still refuses to honor the TSB, then speak directly to the service manager or call 1-800-25-LEXUS and have customer service have a conversation with the service manager. On the down side that the TSB has been done and the rotors are warped again, take the car any brake shop that "turns" or "cuts" brake rotors. Have them measure the thickness remaining on the rotor and see if you still have enough to turn or cut and still remain within factory specifications. This should resolve the vibration. If they can't cut them, then the rotors should be replaced. I just got a set of four OEM rotors and front/rear pads for less then $400 via an online Lexus parts distributor. From the dealership it would have been over $600. I am sure that aftermarket pads and rotors may have been cheaper. hope this helps. steviej PS, all Lexus dealerships have access to the TSBs, so have yours pull up TSB BR002-02.

  13. what is a o2 friendly spray ? carb cleaner or throttle body cleaner that won't damage the O2 sensors when the excess cleaner is burned off or passed downstream and over the A/F sensors and O2 sensors. Some sprays can damage those sensors. It will be stated on the side of the can if that particular spray is O2 sensor safe. steviej

  19. Toyota/Lexus design. Many of us 2002+ owners have initially commented on it. You get used to it. Of course this I am saying this without trying your gas pedal. I noticed it was stiffer than my previous car but uniformly and consistently stiffer. It wasn't a stiffness that varied from day to day. If yours does, then get it looked at, something maybe binding it. steviej

  23. a clog is highly probable. If the car sat for an extended period of time with no stabilizer in the fuel it will turn to a varnish type of goop. I would guess the fuel pump is all clogged up, too. steviej
