  1. Considering how long the OEM parts lasted, that amount doesn't seem to be too outrageous. You'll probably never have to buy replacements again. 😏
  2. Wow! Now that's a project I would probably not try, myself - too much rust! I'll bet you feel good, now that it's over. 😏
  3. I can't believe this wasn't sold very quickly. Are you also using Autotrader and Craigslist?
  4. The size of the battery packs/acceleration ability/range are all tradeoffs. American EV companies are currently in competition for all of these things, resulting in 9000 lb vehicles with 1000 HP and 0-60 MPH in 3 seconds. Obviously and historically, Lexus does not feel it needs to compete for bragging rights. 0-60 MPH in 5.2 seconds is more than 99% of owners will ever need. But remember, solid state batteries may make lithium batteries look like the old carburetors of ancient times. I'm hoping to wait 2-3 years to see what bubbles up to the top of reliable and non-self-igniting EVs.
  5. Yes, I can't find anything else to try. Certainly, if a connector is loose, this could happen but accessing connectors may not be a simple task.
  6. Have you checked with www.rockauto.com or some of the OEM sites like www.parts.lexus.com www.lexusoeparts.com www.lexuspartsnow.com
  7. Welcome, Maggie. What brand of shocks did you buy? Inexpensive ones (like Monroe) will change the feel of driving over rough roads. And if the same alignment shop has been doing all your alignments, I'd recommend finding another shop. I use the same one for every car I've had since 1986 and they get it right every time.
  8. You're welcome, Dominik. Bearings tend to emit growling sounds when you are taking a turn at a medium rate of speed, not a very slow parking maneuver, for example. Having the windows open helps.
  9. Yes. It's worth a try. Wait 5 minutes after reconnecting the battery to see if your display appears.
  10. Usually, a grinding noise indicates a worn-out wheel bearing. Normally it would get louder when rounding a corner.
  11. So you did try this already? 2. Disconnect the negative terminal of the vehicle’s 12 volt battery. 3. Wait 30 seconds. 4. Reconnect the negative terminal of the vehicle’s 12 volt battery. 5. Confirm multimedia system operation after multimedia system reloads. Multimedia system can take up to 5 minutes to reload after a battery disconnect.
  12. Solid state batteries? What is the estimated cost? Perhaps it will be similar to an electric LC500E.
  13. Go to 2:18 in this video: Note: I'm not sure this is your model but some of its features will be similar to yours.
  14. Auto electric shops in New Jersey - Search (bing.com) Maybe one of these?
  15. Which button - the one on the remote or in the vehicle?
  16. Thanks for the tip. I knew it had something to do with the resistance of the bulbs but did not look up the specifics.
  17. Tip: You can extend the range of your opener by adding a 6-12 inch long wire (crimp or soldered) to the garage door opener antennae.
  18. Hopefully, it's just the expansion tank cap. But do check your oil dipstick to make sure it is not milky, which may indicate a head gasket leak.
  19. Sometimes replacement of some light within a circuit with LEDs can cause this. Try swapping in the OEM style incandescent bulbs to see if it fixes the problem.
  20. I agree that it is very puzzling, but this is why Auto Electric shops exist. They are typically very good at troubleshooting mysterious electrical drains.
  21. If the tank is full (to the indicated level line) then it could be that air in the coolant was not adequately bled when the thermostat was changed. If that is the case, then proper air bleeding must be performed. Many vehicle engines have one or more air bleed ports, as per the relevant service manual.
