still searching for cheap subs no luck yet crutchfield doesnt carry one that is same spec wise as the kicker on lexls.com i cant seem to find a 2, i can only find a 4 and 8 ohm sub -joe

hey guys is it possible to hook up aftermarket to the stock 93 deck? cus if it is let me know guys i see a hella good deal for an 8 in sub... i read lexls's site and i understand he has a aftermarket deck... if i do replace the sub with an aftermarket sub thats needs more then 40 watts... would i have to change wires? i know i would have to change amp too -joe

hey man theres a shop that i know that can do really good AC work... let me find out some info and contacts before i post it... they are located in the south sac area though... these guys actually helped me and my father out with installing new struts.. or the thing in the middle of the springs... great guys family friends... -joe

hello everyone been reading the post trying to find that Cerwin-Vega sub cant seem to find it any where... any ideas? also if i just hooked up an audiobahn 8 in is there a way to power it by aftermarket amp so it can get feed the correct amount of power?

if ua re talking abotu some material covering your dash and possibly even the space between rear seats and trunk... i use the front dash cover and its fine... it helps out with sunprotection it helps soo much... amd it doesnt look bad... i wish i could get the pictures... dad has it right now wont be home for a while... but seriously it will help out with keeping dash nice and clean looking... it makes it seem like there isnt soo much dust on it either... haha -joe

i dont think theres any state that allows personation of a cop car... but in the headlights would make it a lot easier to hide vs. just on your dash or something... VB- why would it matter if he was near a airport or not??

personally id ont think the JLs speakers are too great... their emphasies is on subwoofers... premiers sounded better at the local good guys...

HEY guys... got new shocks today i think... the middle thing around the spring... whatever its called... my rear left part of the car was getting lower to the ground everyday since mid of feb or something... but yesterday when i went out the tire almost touched the inside of the tire well so my dad and i got the parts and went to an friends auto shop and helped them install new struts around... took about 4 hour... ride seems to be a little better over bumps arent too bad now... but a few questions... how do u tell between air suspension and others?? dad always told me it was air suspension... but im not sure since it has springs... uhhh kind confused on how to tell the difference... also i noticed my friends LS has some kind of black covering of the top of the front suspension...im open for comments and questions too... should there be anything else i should replace my car just recently hit the 1710900 give or take... anyways thanks for any or not any feedback in the future... also another question... after i got them i tested it out driving straight lines and some meduim turns... it seems like there was some type of viberating... that caused my head to move like a bobblehead... at the speed of 85... now should i get the car realigned?? or what? -joe

i was cleaning my car completely yesterday... 6 hour job... carpet... double wash/wax... stain removing... the works... and i was cleaning engine compartment... and as i was cleaning i thought i wonder if all of the engine compartments are the same??? but looking at Lexls.com... good old mr carl owner of the site... has pictures of each series!!! now they all look different and everyone has there personal opintion... but if anyone has experience with mutiple LS throughout their life... i wonder if the ease of reaching things in the engine is the same... in my year its easy to get to the oils and stuff... but in the other years it seems there are more engine covers... just a thought... peace easy everyone -joe

hey fellow LS owner some of the members here have been extremely helpful in my same quest(-ion) haha... i would check out www.LexLS.com great site with tutorial on installing the deck.... also has link to place that sells install kit... now contiuning on wat 92Lex has said... also another member that knows a lil bit about car audio.... what the audio place said was bs and what curcit city's website says is not dependable... with a correct install kit you should be able to put in any 1 din standard deck... i personally like alpine... for numerous reasons.... eclpise not soo much but they do make good stuff... just personal preference... also panasonic makes good decks for the mid to higher level decks... song makes good garden variety decks... they kinda look rediculous with the xplod symbol everywhere... i personally dont like sony's xplod line... other stuff from them are good... no experience with kenwood... but i hear good things... i would stay away from pyle they make cheap stuff for a reason... the quality is not up to par with any decent brand... anyways if u do get a whole new deck please remember that the old 6 cd changer will NOT work with the new deck... for reasons known to me... i think someone mentioned how the plug from the cd changer sends out a signal that only the OEM stereo can read... but besides that its all personal preference... to get an idea for aftermarket decks... dont visit circuit city or best buy... take care of your ride... and research ahead... and go to a car audio only store... if anything good guys... talk to some of the guys there in car audio section... also remember everyone has preferences that they lean towards... so try and build a preference based on your own feelings -joe

i've used 87 for about 2 months... and thats about .... hmm 8 ish weeks... thats about almost 7 fill ups.... no actually pinging noises heard... throtal is a lil weaker but overall not soo much different...

i was wondering how much clearance should the top of the wheel to the car wheel well.... now im not sure what condition my air suspension is... and im wondering if i will need a replacement soon... my car has about 3 inches... maybe less... theres no rubbing that i can see... i'll check agian -joe

someone should pm him and tell him to check the general forums i dont think he checks it... yea my school has cameras now.... they can track anything on the cameras... pin point when that thing there tracking moves or comes back on screen and all this crazy mumbo jumbo... but with technology theres always ways around it.... hehehe...

so guys i've been slowly planning to build a good audio system dropping about 1k on a system built solely on alpine stuff... but as hook up quit alpine before i could get the hook up... i wil have to buy everything close to retail or retail... im hoping to stay away from ebay but if there is a certain group on ebay that many people trust i would be glad to buy from... also im pretty sure im going with an alpine deck of the CDA-9833... now i hear brands to stay away from are audiobahn, pyle, fosgate... some other ones... and i've heard mixed reviews about phenoix gold... im kinda aiming for some JL's , i would love to keep a complete alpine if possible and if someone can find a way for me to do that then that be awesome... but im really open to lots of ideas imput and previous experiences from all the members here at LOC.... thanks in advance you guys have pulled through before... -joe
