i was reading the generations of LS on www.lexls.com ( if u guys havent checked it out check it its freaking awesome!!!) and it seems as the gens went on the top speed decreased down from 149 - 130.... now being a speed loving teen... if i ever jump generations with LS... say a gen 3 sometime between now and my late speed loving days i want an explantion for a 19 mph decrease from top speed... does anyone know why and how they did it? and is it possible to change... i've hit 135 mph... safely i assure u... LOC doesnt condone crazy driving... it no traffic on a empty highway straight... and any speed under 120 isnt exciting... anyone help settle discomfort... why for decrease in top speed... wow what the heck did i just write ahhaha -joe nguyen

along with 90LS japanese cars made int he usa tend to be on the lower average of japanese quaility... even if it still better then domesitcs... but if japan doesnt reevaulate japanese cars made in america domestics will make a comeback soon... but on topic im thinking of doing something on the same lines... when my 93 dies or becomes a pain in the wallet to fix... i would like to just do a generation jump... but still wondering what what generation to jump to and what series to buy in.... any one with ideas?

any place to get a quaility body kit for LS 400? im looking for either poly urithan or fiberglass does anyone know the pros and cons of both of them? also project L is something that im thinking of starting soon, to make my car showcase worthy... and does anyone currently own a turbo in their LS? i would like to see the after affects of it and the difference on the wear and tear of the car with and with out turbo

i never had bad gas my car is daily driven, it racks up at least 10 miles a day, i fill it will 92 costco gas, but maybe its the wieght of the car thats doing it and/or maybe the tires too, i replaced mine a while back still pretty recent, maybe curt has no excess wieght in trunk including no spare... ahh well haha about going pass 160 km/h what u could do is one night turn off all interior lights and then just gas it hard, after u feel like u are going too fast turn them back on see what u are going at, then every chance u get try and get faster then u felt the night before, i've been doing that, it helps me calm down sometimes... i took my car to 135mph before... its a bit scary... hitting 100mph is a breeze now -joe

*BLEEP* its the same with my car... i still dont know what the problem is... i have changed all the stuff obergc has too jsut not recently... i kinda just gave up on the speed now ....

hey im getting the same kit from that website too... just in case u guys want to do a DIY kind of thing... theres a member here that is an author of the most informative website for LS400 gen 1... www.Lexls.com ... he has tutorials, with pictures showing step by step of the install i would recommend talking to him if u have questions he is a great guy, and 92LEX is another guy thats good for advice... but saying alpine is not comparable to namaicha-wats... psh psh... haha jk jk jk... -joe

yea for sure if u want to drop a lil more get the alpine pulse-touch MMS (multi. media system) it gives u the feeling of touching buttons on the touch screen, the best of the best. -joe

i will find out if they are right up to specs... where should i got to buy quaility RCAs? good guys? audio express? my friend thinks spending 200 for everything (amp kit, wiring, install kit, etc.) is a rip off, but im calculating the prices and around 200 should be it right?

ok thanks guys im pretty sure im set.... amp kit from walmart.... install kit from sfxaudio.com... and if they have the wire harness at walmart then that at walmart too.... audio express said that the box they have for 2 10s are the right specs so im getting it there... sub wires... i need to know where to buy that... RCA's can i get those at walmart too? or do i have to go somewhere else... and i'll get poyifil online... hmm this is goign to cost a lot haha dammit its going to cost about a 1k....

sorry to be dumb but why would u do that? and for putting in the wires i would have to put them under the sides carpet area or something any help with that

argh double posted i dont know why hahaha LexLs im going to buy my install kit from the website u recommended, should i buy the install and wiring harness and the female harness? that stuff comes in an amp kit right? and im getting a sealed box from audio express near howe and arden, its $80 for 2 10s, and yes i would be placing the sub box to the floor, for the wiring through the car i think im going to use LexLs tutorial to remove the back seats and use the the holes that are there, is that a good way to wire them through?
