  1. they make a kit just like that but at the edges it curnes into the original plastic that way the black doesnt show on the edges. other than that looks good.
  2. i do think we are both on the same page but just explaining it differently. :D
  3. The impedance does matter. it doesnt matter what he gets 2 ohms is better bass response than 4 ohms. doesnt mean it wont work. one will just sound better than the other. :D It does matter because if you put in a 2 ohm speaker and drive the amp at 2 ohms then the amp has to be capable of running at 2 ohms. If not, the amp will overheat. Like i said in my original post it all matters on your amp. if it is bridgable or not, is all up to the amp. even if the sub is 4 ohms and you bridge ur amp to run 2 ohms it will work the speaker harder. the idle this is to run a 2 ohm amp, and sub. if you dont it WILL not neccesary blow. the speaker might blow depending on RMS wattage. In conclusion. if your going to buy a new sub it can be dual voiuce coil witch the sub itself is 4 ohms or bridgable to 2 ohms, just to be on the safe side. :D

  5. 4 ohms on every car speaker. as for the sub it could be 4 ohms or u can replace it with 2 ohms. doesnt matter. it all depends on your amp how is going to sound.
  6. Intellextual This has been copy and pasted from this web site. You should print this out answers alot of questions. WHEELS & TIRES: When shopping for new wheels, take note of the wheel diameter, wheel width, bolt pattern, and wheel offset. Both SC coupes' bolt patterns are 114.3 x 5, stud design, with 12 x 1.5 threading and 60.1 bore. The stock offsets are +50mm. With larger and wider wheels some rubbing may occur on the fender lip or wheel well covers. This rubbing usually occurs when turning the front wheels all the way out or when the suspension bottoms out. Rubbing is attributed to several factors including: the drop height of the suspension, size of the tire sidewall, tire & wheel widths, and the wheel offset. The simple way of resolving a rubbing issue is by softly rolling the fender lip into a sharp wedge or shaving/lifting the wheel well covers where the rubbing occurs. The largest wheel size that fits the SC wheel wells are 20"x9" in the front and 20"x10" in the rear. 19" wheels and below will fit the SC without rubbing issues in any assortment of wheel widths under 10 inches given the proper offset and tires. The widest tires ever attempted on the SC coupe are 275/30-ZR20 on a 20"x10" rim, 295/30ZR19 on a 19x11" rim, 295/35-ZR18 on an 18"x11" rim, and 315/35-ZR17 on a 17"x9.5" rim. All fitments were reported to work on the rear axles with no rubbing issues. Below is a chart of tire sizes that are compatible with the SC and offer the similar outside diameters. Outside diameter is critial to maintain for the proper functioning of the anti-lock brakes, speedometer, and odometer instruments. These are just some of the tire sizes that fellow ClubLexus members are using on their cars. Some values are expressed as ranges of sizes. No size advertised below guarantees a perfect outside diameter match, it is recommended that you perform outside diameter calculations to ensure the tire is a good match. See more details below the chart... So let's shop for new tires for our new 17x9.5" Supra TT wheels. To calculate the outside diameter of a potential tire, 255/45ZR17 for example, you take the tire width (ie: 255mm), multiplied by the sidewall series given in a percentage (ie: 45% or 0.45), multiplied by two sidewalls per wheel, plus the diameter of the wheel in a common length (ie: 17-inches or 431.8mm). So you get [ 2 × (255mm × 0.45) ] + 431.8mm = 661.3mm outside diameter. Doing the same calculations for the stock 225/55ZR16 tires, we find that the stock outside is 653.9mm. 653.9mm is the value by which all the components operate. We can find the deviation from stock of our new Supra tires by dividing the new outside diameter by the old outside diameter. 661.3mm ÷ 653.9mm = 1.0113% or 1.13% deviation. Thus when your speedometer reads 60.0mph, you are actually travelling at a speed of 60.7mph. A better tire fitment would be 245/45ZR17 which, using the same formula, yields an outside diameter of 652.3mm. 652.3 ÷ 653.9 = 0.9975%, which is about 0.2% deviation. When your speedometer reads 60.0mph, you are now actually travelling 59.99mph, which is an acceptable difference. Now that you understand the principles, click here for a quick tool that calculates it for you! Spacers: Another available mod for your wheels are wheel spacers. These are used to compensate for negative wheel offset. For instance, the SC coupe's stock offset is +50mm; However, Supra TT wheels have +38mm offset. Therefore you can use 5mm - 15mm spacers to correct the difference and line up your wheels better. It is strongly recommend you avoid 'universal spacers' in larger sizes than 5mm; However, there are some larger aftermarket spacers that are tested to work well with the SC300 and SC400. H&R Springs makes wheel spacers designed for the SC coupe, which come with longer replacement wheel studs. H&R spacers come in the following thicknesses: 5mm, 15mm, 20mm, and 25mm. H&R 5mm spacers to not included lengthened studs because they are not necessary. With any spacer wider than 5mm, it is recommended that you use lengthened wheel studs.
  7. No real easy you can take out the bulb with out taking out the battery. of coarse if you have big hands then it might be a problem. but try to mess around in there and feel ur way in. if not you have to unscrew the wheel well, only the first 4 screw clockwise. flip the panel open alittle and stick ur hand in there. you will feel the 2 screws, use a ratchet and unscrew those towo bulbs. you do not have to disconnect the whole headlight just oull it out a little and replace the bulb.
  8. cops eating doghnuts detector. -----> LMFAO
  9. i had the same problem. i reset the ecu, and i did notice alittle bit better difference. try that as well.
  10. Yes. But also keep in mind that the calipers do not come the way the pic I posted. That one has been painted and has a caliper sticker on it. ;) If you are serious about the brakes, I can point you to someone who periodically gets used LS calipers. He does not always have them but will get some here and there. (As far as I know, he is currently out.) I have not bought these from him but know of satisfied people who have. I'm not endorsing or advertising for him but am just trying to help out other members. PM me if you want more info. Yeah that would be great. I wanted to get new brakes all around just like the ones in the picture. if you know anyone or anywhere that would be great.
  11. yeah need a relay bypass, to shut off the factory alarm completely. order it from viper.
  12. anyone have a pair or knows were i can pick some up?
  13. Okay question im not that good with brakes. I like the LS brakes. All i have to do is buy Rotors and the brakes itself from lexus? or some other place and they will fit on my 92 sc400. Correct?
  14. Sure its not the Brake light. Check to make sure all the bulbs are good.
  15. Power would be The BLUE/Yellow Wire Ground would be the BROWN Wire. Have a nice day.
  16. You can have my car White Automatic SC400. for 11,999 :) MINT Condition no BS, with a 4,000 $ audio systme. :)
  17. No it doesnt that splits the air that comes under the car. half goes up and the rest back. Think of it like a a pipe something has to be there to deflect air upwards or else the aerodynamics of the bottom are screwed up.
  18. Im gonna get this front spoiler and skirts. looks simple and will fix my missing spoiler problem. any thoughts i know its not the coolest looking one but its simple and cheap. Not gonna get the back though i dont like it. P.S. DO NOT buy a front spoiler from ebay thats on a supra and says it will fit on a sc400. i said this before but i really got jerked lost 200 bucks to some guy in florida. he wont return my emails, nothing. Just a heads up. P.P.S im paying good money for some florida resident to go redesign this guys car with a BAT.
  19. to replace chrome ur gonna have to re dip it. Find a factory that does it. unless get urself some krylon spray paint and touch it up but that is the cheap and sloppy and temprorary way.
  20. Yeah, it cracks me up that just people seem to think that anything with 8 cylinders is fast. It reminds me of why I always had little respect for V8 owners before I bought my SC. For every 11-second car, there was ten 15-second idiots blabbing about how fast they were. I love me SC, but the fact is, it's a slow !Removed! that isn't going to get much faster without cubic dollars. It's a big, heavy, comfortable cruiser that was never meant to compete with sport compacts or muscle cars. I could care less if someone has a faster Honda, since I didn't buy this car to go fast in. The attitude of "I own a V8, therefore I'm fast" is going to get you laughed at by many a' four-banger, so I'd suggest dropping that attitude or start reaching deep into your wallet. Yup my thoughts exactlly. Im happy that i can beat alot of stock cars. now 8 or 4 doesnt matternot only is the engine size that doesnt matter its the shifting, balance, weight, alot more things to think about before judging the size of the engine. This isnt the 60-70s with big blobk 442s and hemis. Times have definetly changed.
  21. funny part is i fixed the cover under the car rigde it in a way to stay up, but still gonna start with the carbon fiber. i know alot of people who would pay good $$$ to C/F something for them.
  22. In New York city you wouldnt last a day with out the front plate on the bumper. I remember i put on those clear covers for the license plates and got a ticket the SAME day. that was a quick way to spend 40 bucks. :)
  23. hes right i used to work in P.C Richards (electronics store in New york ) and they charge 45 fron and 45 back. and if its a pain in the butt there gonna charge more. 60 for installation sounds good and infinitis are great sounding speakers
  24. Lol i can picture myself turning every part in my car to carbon fiber. Ohhhh No.
