  2. can u post the diy link u found? brian

WHAT R YOU TALKING ABOUT? this site is VERY user friendly! just click browse right below your response and find the pics you want and click upload. simple as pie brian
  4. just replace it........would hate for the epoxy to crack or not hold the seal and have to pay for this twice. dunno how they doing yours without removing the dash hihosilver its not possible you have to remove it! brian
  5. yeah oddly enough its true u have to specifically ask them to replace it! i just had mine done........didnt go to the stearlership though brian
  6. doesn't this just sound like a reason 2 do a bbk? (big brake kit) lol. this way u can justify it to the old lady :D brian
  7. pioneer IF I HAD TO CHOOSE but save the money and just go get a avic-n2 or something brian

  9. well like i said in November/December front rotors were turned and rears were replaced........so could i have wore it that quick? and welcome to the forum brian
  10. welcome to the forum........probably a 18 then! they should look fine
  11. hmmm how do i find out if mine is seized? like i said this isnt a bad vibration so i dont think its something that severe. or atleast i hope it isnt! brian
  12. im not 100% familiar with the 300 series as i have the 430 series but as far as i know, no no major problems between the years. im sure there were some small ones but nothing major i can recall
  13. no way to do it without pulling it thats y even though i bought cam seals when i changed my timing belt for my 2001 gs430 i didn't change them since it was more trouble than it was worth and i was just doing it as a precautionary event mine weren't/aren't leaking! brian
  14. maybe so lol... but maybe he likes the 90's! :D "i will welcome myself back to the forum as im,woo hooooooooo, finally unsuspended! hahaha!" brian
  15. yeah welcome to the LOC. sorry brother i dont have any! google them.......or try the internet! "i will welcome myself back to the forum as im,woo hooooooooo, finally unsuspended! hahaha!" brian
  16. steviej? do you have ebc green stuff pads on the rear? i see you and i both have been shopping at sewell......i have the same Lexus valve covers! lol "i will welcome myself back to the forum as im,woo hooooooooo, finally unsuspended! hahaha!" brian
  17. so someone help me out then please.......... lately i have been having a light shake when i brake also (front brakes) but in December i had the front pads replaced with oem pads, front rotors turned, rear rotors replaced, rear pads replaced.........my alignment is on as i had it done like a month ago when i got my new tires so i have covered all that too! its kinda minimal but annoying to have any shake in such a nice car! i did recently paint & clear coat my front/rear hats/calipers but i sprayed the rotors down with a brake cleaner and wiped them with a clean/dry rag so as not to get anything on them! fluid in the reservoir is still full so no bubbles i can tell. do you think i am just starting to wear the front rotors down or what does anyone think is going on? "i will welcome myself back to the forum as im,woo hooooooooo, finally unsuspended! hahaha!" brian
  18. fords right.............i used to own a 1993 es300 and it was boring........i now have a 2001 gs430 and i love it! again he's correct they don't have the same motor but i will tell you this.........i think i got better gas mileage outta my es. i hands down prefer my 430 even with its 16 mpg city and all. its a complete different ride though both are comfortable but i found my gs 2 be more comfortable. also depends if you want a front wheel drive car or a rear wheel drive car! "If all you wanted was the most reliable bang for your buck along with good mileage and a comfortable ride, you'd be looking at a Camry. Toyota has taken that level of reliability and put it into a much more complicated, luxurious, performance-oriented car--the Lexus GS." Matt is almost right here but the comparable Lexus to the Camry is the es300 it does have the same motor, chassis, etc, etc just think of the es as a MUCH nicer Camry! the gs sadly has no series like it in the Toyota lineup that I'm aware of! 19. welcome to the forum! i have the exact same year/package you have and mine does something similar to this but ONLY when i go through a automatic car wash. yeah yeah i know i know don't start lol! anyways i even tried pulling the fuses from the drivers side kick panel and omfg thats a pain! eventually it will dry out and work fine but its annoying.......you might also have a bad brain on the head unit! this was the reason i ALMOST didn't buy this car as i was worried what happens when my nav fails its gonna be very costly to repair/replace as it controls EVERYTHING in our cars! good luck brother "i will welcome myself back to the forum as im,woo hooooooooo, finally unsuspended! hahaha!" brian
