this is the interface i was looking at for my back up camera but i was told i could use it to also run a dvd player/my sirius/my ipod/and change my speakers........alpine also makes one but its like a 100 more than these. the bottom one is the exact same unit just cheaper off a different website.....and and i think u need to get a harness to make your steering wheel buttons still work mine was like 75 bucks.......again that was for mine and mines older so u might wanna check with your stereo shop lessu doing it! http://electronics-pluz.com/naviinfordoj.html http://www.activetuning.com/products/multiple/RGB2+/

it just unscrews once u have the grill off.......which i think there were only 5 bolts holding the grill itself to the car and then 2 to the hood release (be careful one of my bolts was stuck and broke off here). good luck and have fun........one big blister (i also did my calipers/hats that same weekend), 2 cans of paint thinner, and about 24 VERY FINE steel wool pads (dont use the regular steel wool they scratch) later, and about a 20 min quick polish with a orbital ball and some chrome polish mine looks fantastic! some people JUST do the outsides which only takes about 2 hours but i wanted every nook and cranny! be careful though if u rub 2 long u will start seeing black stuff which is where the chrome came off (min did this a few spots till i got the hang of it and u cant even notice when i mounted it). good luck and post some pics! check your voltage.........before start and on start (think u chould have 14.2 cranking amps and 12 running or off amps I THINK IM NOT 100% SURE I FORGOT :P ), check your connections on the battery, could be battery,alternator, or starter but sounds like battery! that doesn't resolve MOST peoples problems.......they say a road force balance can help some too though! i haven't messed with my steering rack as i just don't like that idea of that being a fix plus i couldnt get the locking nutt loose! i might eventually try it but not yet! depends.....i know u said u wanna control it through the nav but are u wanting a external satellite radio display or u want it to be completely controlled through the nav like all the functions? in my 2001 i have to get a video interface to be able to hook up mine without having a external box but i can also use the interface to hook up my rear view camera, upgrade my amps, etc,etc. just havent done it yet as the cheapest interface i have found is about 300.....now i dunno if they changed anything on the your year as i think now the newer ones are built in so i dunno if yours is our not! i know mine isnt! randy, mythbusters did a show on license plate blocking stuff for the camera's NONE of them work! I'm semi surprised i haven't heard ANY of u mention the k40 kits? although a little costly they are built into the cluster and come with most Ferrari's and Lamborghini's!
