nope, no compass in the mirror just the auto dimmer! wonder if its cause i have the ML package and my gps has a compass?

if your asking...........u probably need a new one! do a rebound test as described above but what makes you think u need a new shock? brian

its timing belt, spark plugs, idle pulleys, maybe cam seals, water pump, accessory belt, check radiaotr hoses, plugs, etc etc. just do all these at the same time to save yourself some time/headache! i had my buddies shop do them, paid 500 for all the parts and like 400 for labor! but i know them well and use them alot! imho dont go to the stealership for this brian

IMHO the black chrome looks good especially since im not a fan of chrome.....but u cant go wrong with carbon fiber either ;) brian

try searching for changing actuators. i think i saw a pdf on removing door panels to change a actuator the other day! that will find you your info u need :D brian

you'll end up spending more money than buying a used aftermarket or new exhaust by taking it to someplace like that! they make o2 fooling sensors to trick your car into thinking you have o2's on still so you wont have check engine lights if you do run a manifold without cats which i personally dont recommend! just do some research n dont bother with some restaurant equipment company who would charge you a fortune! brian

they 3rd generation it is a option (i think maybe for the 2gs also but not sure).......used to see them on ebay and sewell but i coudlnt find them at all yesterday! its a console that replaces the whole ashtray console with a sunglass console that stores 2 sets of sunglasses. im still looking for it. i really wanna say its avaliable for the 2gs and i was gonna buy it but it was pricy or else (since i dont smoke) i wanted it and they ONLY made it for the 3gs. i 4got! im still looking for it! i looked back at a old post of mine and apparantally yes it can be interchanged to our 2gs! still looking! brian

i dunno but let me ask you a kinda dumb ?..........when you hit these are you in drive or park with your foot on the brake? i know it wont let you do this when your in drive at all (safety first) :P and i also think you cant while foot is on brake in park! so if you have never paid attention make sure your in park and try it there......if not i think i have a pdf on this stored on my home comp and when i get home i will send it if i can find it! brian

some can look very nice just depends on brand etc you choose to put into your car! y have it JUST play them in park and not when you driving? i know its unsafe but i used to have a tv in my es300 and i had movies on all the time.....just hated the tv tuner was so expensive! have them put in a override so you can watch them while you moving (for your passengers NOT for you to watch, you should be driving :D ) i have the ML nav also its great to use but stupid expensive to update as they make what 2 discs a year for it? for 300 i think i'll be good for a year or so considering when i got the car it was still running on the oem Ver. 1 disc. i do have the latest upgrade (i got from sewell off their ebay page for 250 but still who wants to do that yearly or even twice a year). brian

y wouldnt you just fix it and buy a gps if you didnt have one? makes no sense to not have the factory speedometer working even if some crappy gps had a speed shown i still would want my oem one to work! brian

what research are you looking at? stock intake is still restrictive with fuel mileage an etc etc etc in mind. stock is DEF not the best intake. its just a piggy back comp. it plugs in and overrides the factory ecu. if u unplug it and do a re flash (unhook battery for 15 mins and hook back everything will get cleared when it "re-learns" your driving! it wont do any harm! brian

i removed some of these awhile ago. i assume you mean the black ones under the hood in the fuse box? if i recall right they just pull straight out! least they do on my 2001 im fairly certain brian

no1 ever said to spend the 2000 either, i just said i think its a awful idea and since you wanted to go around telling EVERYONE that any a/c problem they were having was just like yours and they could fix it doing the same thing you did i thought i would put my $0.02 in AS I AM A MANAGER AT A HVAC-R SUPPLY HOUSE AND AFTER BEING HERE LAST 7 YEARS I THINK I KNOW A THING OR TWO ABOUT BAD IDEAS ON PRESSURIZED A/C SYSTEMS. it was just my personal opinion that this should not be the route people look to first 2 save a buck much smarter and cheaper ways to start then apply some "glue" or "epoxy" or whatever it was you used. I NEVER SAID ANYTHING WAS WRONG WITH WHAT YOU DID OR HOW YOU REPAIR TURNED OUT. like i said as long as it works for you and your happy thats what matters! it would NEVER be like that in my car though :D i dunno y we (you and i) are still talking about this 5 months after the original thread started? its fixing to be heat season and we both wont need our a/c soon enough :D hell i gotta change my dang servo's now as my passenger side still not getting heat! can i borrow your epoxy? jk. dont take it wrong im not mad i just kept trying to tell you that if it was fine for you it was fine for me and period but not to look at this as a fix just more or less a patch! brian
