  1. Weird, because if you look at a "black" 2010 Lexus, its a flat non-metallic black. They don't make Black Onyx anymore, its called Obsidian.
  2. The Hybrid powertrain isn't for everyone. The 2010 is growing on me a lot. I like it from the rear and rear quarters, and I like the 450H from the front (the bumper, grille & lights are different than the 350) but I still don't care for it from dead front, or dead side. The interior I love.
  3. Thats a hectic trip! We went to NJ for a family party, my wife's aunt's birthday. The no NavTraffic on the trip is a bummer! I was looking forward to using it up 95 but the traffic coverage stops north of Baltimore.
  4. I agree 100%, the bumper was probably repainted poorly when it was put on the lot for sale...
  5. I actually believe Obsidian is a flat black too with no metallic flake. Entirely plausible it has a clearcoat and replaced Black Onyx. Black Sapphire Pearl is actually a very dark blue...
  6. They do publish a list, the dealer will have it.
  7. Yeah, $2550 sound right. For $2550 you could buy a UL! lol
  8. Did you own that car from new? I am 95% sure thats the result of improper prep before a bumper repaint. I look at a lot of cars, and I've never seen another ES on the road with that issue...
  9. If you go into the settings menu into vehicle settings you can adjust those items... Just rolled over 2k miles! I'm on my first road trip, 3.5 hours today car ran great, rode terrific, seats were very comfortable...
  10. You created your own DVD? My bet is it won't work... But the drive is below the screen, you slide up that grey bar that says "LEXUS" on it...
  11. Generally October...
  12. Are these the wire-wheel look E sport wheels? I'm not a fan personally. I think the car is too modern looking for a throwback type wheel like that, plus they would SUCK to clean... I really like the wheels off the 2010 UL...
  13. Why would you dig up a 4 month old thread and an issue that has long since been put to rest? In the future...don't do that or you'll be wondering why we banned you. Thread closed.
  14. My guess is bad tires. They keep replacing the tires with more Bridgestones...did you ever try Michelins? In my experience Michelin has MUCH higher quality control with regards to construction, and Michelins have always needed less weight to be balanced in my experience. Sadly, I have heard many stories of Lexus/Toyota CS on a corporate level that are similar to this. Just like any other company in that regard.
  15. I have no idea lol
  16. I'm glad it went well! That guy's Lexus was 11 years old though ;)
  17. Yeah you would think...
  18. Well that certainly explains it!
  19. In my business our commission is just out there on the HUD-1 at settlement so I'm used to that. One thing that has become an issue for mortgage people though, the new HUD laws require that a BROKER disclose their commission (the yield spread premium) in their good faith estimate and on the HUD. The issue is...since loan officers from direct lenders get paid internally and not at settlement, they don't have to disclose the same, so brokers are always at a disadvantage in the eyes of the consumer because they see that big YSP on there and see a GFE from Bank of America with no such thing and think the broker is ripping them off...when often the broker is SAVING them money.
  20. The RXh may be popular, but its not really "hot", nothing is in that price range right now. At the end of the day its a $60,000 vehicle and the economy still sucks...
  21. Congrats! Yeah we still want pics! I think you did very well. I don't worry about what they make either, at the end of the day they are a business and I am in commissioned sales too and everybody has to feed their families. As long as its a fair deal that works for me, I'm happy. When people take that attitude that the dealer shouldn't make a dime, I don't think thats fair. Thats great about the tires, they're the same size. Personally I really like the 2010' wheels, from the side they have a lot of dimension to them whereas the 330's wheels are flat. I'd want them re-mounted on the 2010's wheels.
  22. Its raining like hell out there today, so I'm going to wait until tomorrow to try it again ;)
  23. Are you sure its not the "headlights on" light? That light will be on whenever the headlights are on...
  24. Yeah DC, you hit it right on the head LOL My VW experience comes from three places, one my mother had a 99 New Beetle for a couple years, and my cousin had an '05 New Beetle with the turbo. Both had tons of electrical gremlins, the 99 New Beetle had a hole rot in the gas tank I had to force them to cover under warranty, and the battery on that car exploded once. First time I had seen a car without a maintenance free battery in a LONG time, dealer never maintained it and I wouldn't have expected they should have to. I also met a guy once who owned an independent VW/Audi mechanic who told me never to buy one and that the reason he chose VW & Audi to specialize in was because they were so needy he makes twice what he would make focusing on BMW or MB. So...warranty is a must!
  25. At least it doesn't work on my car...odd an '08 would have it... I'll try it again...
