  1. Batteries have got to be replaced, I'm sure the dealer will replace them no problem. Very same thing could have easily happened to your RX350, the 12V battery is basically the same thing. Like I said, more common than you'd think...
  2. Thats a bummer...
  3. CPO= Certified Pre Owned
  4. Its a board where questions asked are answered by enthusiasts who have the knowledge and the will to answer. If nobody who saw your post knows the answer, or feels like posting then you won't get a response...there's no staff of people out there waiting to answer your questions... I looked at your questions and they're pretty obscure, information just people who not only own that generation ES but those who had also attempted those specific tasks would know.
  5. Thats not so bad. New skin for the rear door, they'll repair and refinish the doorframe. That one spot on the bed, any chance that might buff out?
  6. Stuff like that happens ALL the time.... The wood may have been scratched or the leather torn, and they replaced the wheel. No big deal.
  7. LOL... Yeah its everything, radio presets, CD tracks, iPod tracks...
  8. Hey all, My 2010 has developed a weird problem, the steering wheel audio controls (phone controls are fine) have developed an intermittent problem, the up-track button makes the track go backwards, and the down-track button does as well, and the mode button stops working. Then sometimes it seems fine. Volume buttons are unaffected as are the buttons on the radio itself... I'm going to take it in when I can and see whats up...
  9. Come on...someone hit your car...you can't blame Lexus for that. I agree, only way to repair that and have it be 100% is to replace the hood, I would take it to a good shop and just do that. OEM windshields for ANY car cost $1,000+ if you pay out of pocket. The protection package is for paintless dent removal, thats a bad dent and it isn't repairable with PDR. You can't expect them to fix every body damage for $1,000 upfront. Thats possibly a $1,000 repair right there. Lexus bulk autobody parts aren't expensive, bodywork just isn't cheap. Take it to a good independent body shop with references and get some estimates. Just because its a *Lexus* doesn't make it immune to rocks hitting it or people running into it. As for the $350 oil change, thats a 5k service including a tire rotation etc. On par with other luxury car dealers. Loaner cars, marble, cookies & coffee, flat screen TVs & jazz music don't come cheap. I recommend finding a good independent shop.
  10. Hmm...I'll have to give it a shot...
  11. Thats about what I expected...it'll be pretty base...$33-$34k for one with good equipment.
  12. Sorry about the loss of both...thats terrible. Better days ahead my friend...
  13. What a bummer! I saw your post on Facebook about it... Your wife got the lady's info I hope?
  14. Booo! ;)
  15. LOL, can you post a picture Paul?
  16. What color are yours Paul?
  17. You never get a huge response to threads like this...
  18. The carpeting material is not as high quality as what was in my 2003 I agree. It cost about what my 2003 cost though, not adjusted for inflation, and there are a lot more features, decontenting has to happen somewhere I suppose...
  19. I like it...
  20. That looks great. I wanted to order some for mine, but I was worried about what color to order to make them match with the interior. I don't want to get the cashmere because they'll get so dirty... Where did you order them?
  21. Its great, much easier to care for than the Garnet was which is good. One thing I'm really happy about is its much easier to touch up than the garnet was. I really like that dark grey color that is so popular nowadays, Flint Mica, Smokey Granite Mica, etc. Issue is EVERYBODY has that color, which is what made me go with the Truffle.
  22. I also agree that its normal... Have you tried switching to synthetic oil? Higher cold temp viscosity might help...
  23. My 2010's carpet looks just like the carpet in the picture above...
  24. Until 2010 the SAT receivers were optional and dealer installed. So even if the vehicle has a SAT button, you need to buy and have the tuner installed in order to subscribe to satellite radio. There are lots of options, www.vaistech.com for one, or you can buy the tuners on eBay like Jim said. I would probably take the car to a car audio shop and have it installed. Mieneke is for mufflers...not car audio ;)
  25. I had it in my 2003 ES and do not on my 2010, I can tell the difference but I don't consider it any big loss...
