  1. Is it a sulfer smell? What kind of gas are you running?
  2. I would let the Lexus dealer do it...
  3. Believe it or not the longest lasting blades I've had are the OEM Toyota ones from the dealer. Buy them from Toyota though because Lexus charges an insane price.
  4. I don't know that we'll get that Japanese spec Minivan, I think we're going to get a hybrid version of the Sienna.
  5. The best thing to do with the suspension is find a 2002 with the Euro suspension and then just put the rims on it. Check out ebay for the wheels...
  6. Hit the car with a QD and make sure they are actually swirl marks and not just smearing of the Paraffin wax. That happens sometimes. I've never had my CCD scratch.
  7. The Honda is a totally different type of vehicle and doesn't even classify for the tax breaks or the emissions exemption. cagle- No reason to worry about the HP on the RX400, 270 with V8 performance
  8. Nothing really you can do about either...
  9. A body shop will completely replace the bumper cover. You might want to try ChipsAway www.chipsaway.com
  10. Best one step product is probably Meguiars NXT Tech Wax applied with the PC and a polishing pad.
  11. The best info for packages is the Lexus website as they all ship one way or the other ;)
  12. Not sure about the tax savings but I know the emissions exeptions and the HOV exemptions have to do with the MPG, in MD it must do better than 50.
  13. I was mine weekly and then every couple of days I stop off at the spray wash bay, spray it off and spray it off well with the spot free rinse, helps keep it looking better. Around my place it happens like this. First the pollen Then when thats over the sap starts to run so you have to wash the cars in the garage or they'll be covered in sap before you're done. Then the bugs Then its fall
  14. I'm not concerned about bikes, thats not going to hurt it, I just wouldn't pull an actual trailer with it. If trailer towing were a concern something like the LX470 would have been a better choice than the LS. If I were a biker I would definately use a hitch to avoid hurting the paint.
  15. Mine's just as bad and its parked inside!
  16. I don't like Klasse, I think it looks cold and artificial and as you saw in your experience it magnifies defects in the paint. So you really have to remove all the defects before Klassing and that can be very frustrating and time consuming. Plus when you remove defects you remove paint. I prefer to remove what I can easily (which is most) and hide the rest, you just can't do that with a synthetic product like Klasse or Zaino. Topping it with a carnuaba helps the look but wont hide the imperfections. Klasse AIO is a good oxidation remover, but other than that I have little use for Klasse. I wax every 2-3 months. When I wax I polish again with something mild and with nice oils like P21S GEPC and then seal with something compliant like Meguiars NXT, Poorboys EX or EX-P. Then maybe depending on my mood top with a wax like #16 or P21S. This is very safe as there is nothing really here to remove paint. Now removing swirls DOES remove paint, and I only do this once or twice a year. By hand not much is going to happen though. If you perfect your washing routine swirls will not be as much of a problem. Honestly? You need a Porter Cable DA Polisher or make an appointment with a detailer to have them compound out the swirls and you can go from there. Its just too hard to remove swirls by hand. Clay might work, also try a vinegar rinse to see if that will help. Compounding with a buffer will help as it will round off the edges but there isn't much that can be done.
  17. I've heard similar complaints over the leather on the RX. Mine still looks new after 20k miles and the leather on my dad's 98 LS looked almost new after 150k miles when he traded it. I think that the seats may last longer with proper care. The softer the leather is the more delicate, so if you want soft leather its a tradeoff.
  18. The trip computer on my ES has elapsed time as does the computer on the LS. The feature on the BMW is neat but I believe its patented or something because it doesn't show up on other vehicles. It doesn't bother me not having that, but I've never had a MBW.
  19. No there isn't going to be a V8 version of the RX, the 400h IS going to be the "V8" version. So there will be two models, the RX330 and the RX400h. I see no reason whatsoever to expect the price to be significant over the 330. Toyota has traditionally way underpriced their hybrid model the Prius and the 400h doesn't even have some of the features the Prius does...
  20. Its not so much a question of power its a question of whether or not the LS was designed to tow a trailer. I'm not certain but I believe it says in the owners manual it is not reccomended, it does in the manual for my ES. Vehicles that are designed for towing have reinforced frames, transmission coolers etc. Just not something I would do with my brand new $70k automobile.
  21. This is a symptom all cars with a throttle by wire system exhibit, just gotta get used to it. Doesn't even bother me anymore.
  22. We had problems with people joining and simply PM spamming everyone hence why for right now there is a posting requirement of 20 to PM.
  23. Should be an all new bodystyle.
  24. Simple green with a brush and then dressing with armorall.
