  1. Its not actually like that in the US lol, the cars come packaged in option packages too.
  2. Then you really should have bought a Toyota or Honda, not a Lexus. A Lexus is a luxury car and you pay a premium because of that fact. It also has luxury features that are more likely to require repair, softer joints and bushings that wear faster to give the smoother softer ride, and parts that cost twice as much.
  3. No question 20" rims will effect your ride...
  4. I don't believe the RX330 has a release for the hatch unless it has the power door option. If it has the power door option there is a button underneath that little cover on the left hand side next to the mirror controls. The hatch will unlock when all the doors are unlocked though.
  5. Well, ideally no lol
  6. Yeah I've always used it with car wash soap, much faster.
  7. Interesting, not sure. I can try and find out for sure...
  8. Congrats!
  9. I wasn't aware that MBs had electronic throttles but I've heard people complain about them in BMWs and Audis. Like I've said, not everyone notices the hesitation and I'd assume not all systems are the same.
  10. Generally most dealers charge $700. Lexus is right though, prices change depending on the area. I'd let the $544 dealer do it... There's a thread in this forum showing the process of installing the kit posted by iammikey. Look for it, it has pics and everything. Its not *hard* but it involves running wires to the trunk, mounting the antenna, removing the console and center stack. Its difficult if you don't have a working knowledge of how the car goes together.
  11. Well, any car would have good reflections in that position ;)
  12. No, you don't want to wetsand it. Yes you'd be rid of the orange peel but you'd be left with a much thinner clear on it making future polishing difficult and shortening the paint's life.
  13. Well with all due respect for your friend if the only reason he purchased a Lexus was to drive it a lot of miles he overspent. The Lexus is a luxury car, its designed to last a long time but at the expense of having the best materials, the best ride, a smooth engine and style and appearance. He should have bought a Toyota Corolla, it would have served him better. Buying a Lexus just because they last a long time is beyond wacky. Thats like buying a Cadillac Escalade for its hauling capacity. Plenty other trucks haul just as well, just not with as much style and prestige. Plenty of other cars will last just as long as the Lexus, just not with as much style and prestige. As for the steering knock I don't see it as a big deal, there's a simple fix for it in an updated secondary steering shaft. As for the transmission hesitiation its inherant to the drive by wire system and is not unique to the Lexus, and most drivers don't even notice it. The Lexus may not be the right car for you, but its certainly not a bad car.
  14. Thats fantastic, I'm always happy to hear another entrepenurial spirit story. I would never be one of your employees, I only work for myself. If I were though and I found that you were discriminating against me because of my age as you have been here I would immediately retain a lawyer and file a discrimination and harassment suit against you. I may not be like other people in your life that you can treat anyway you want, I don't take anything from anybody. You aren't anyone I'd want to work for, judging from the content of your posts here. I am very glad I'm not one of your employees. I thank you for your advice as to how to best be taken seriously, but respectfully I must offer you some advice about maturity and how to best keep yourself above the fray. If you had not wished to engage me in this disagreement you would not have again discriminated against me because of my age. We've been through that before and I explained to you that is the one thing that I cannot tolerate. You knew exactly what would happen and thats why you pushed that button. A mature adult, as you claim to be, doesn't use childish button pushing tactics used by second grade playground tough guys to make the little kid go off and be made the fool. Like I said before, stop playing the innocent here you should be above such behavior. This is also the last post I will make on this topic, I say let the situation rest. You don't like me and I don't at all care, but I will not allow you to disrespect me. Nobody has the right to do that. In all fairness to him since I am a manager he can't do that, I tried to see if it would work. You cannot ignore any administrator. Maybe there's an option you can change to allow him to do that?
  15. The new 6 series is a great looking car I agree...
  16. Yeah I'm thrilled my car has the old cartdridge style CD changer...
  17. Interesting idea... My concerns would be that you aren't in tune enough to the clay through the wash mitt to tell if there are any large particles embedded in it which risks scratching. May or may not make a difference though. I'll try it! What kind of wash pad is it, sheepskin or chenille? Chenille kind of looks like a mop.

    2005 Mustang

Well comparing the Mustang to the Vette would be silly, the Vette is tens of thousands of dollars more than the Mustang. Comparing the Mustang to a Lexus is also kinda silly as the two cars are built for very different purposes. Of course a Lexus is better built and has closer tolerances but the Mustang Cobra (what ypu'd be comparing it to at 30k) would flat out destroy any Lexus in a dragrace or on a track.
  19. Ehhh I don't see that as much as I see the old TL in it. I think the Phaeton's a little bit of a stretch ;)
  20. Yeah it will give an error message and then refuse to playor eject the CDs. Your LS is a totally different player though.

    2005 Mustang

Anyone seen a C6 Vette in person yet? I did just the other day, huge improvement on the interior. I like the new Mustang too.
  22. Oh the Porsche purists will HATE that!
  23. Cool, glad it worked! Wow even on a Sharpie, I wonder if it would work as well on a sharpie stain that had been there a while...
  24. Saw another one at the mall today, they must have sold the silver one. The salesman wasn't there so it wasn't open to sit in. This one was a real nice cobalt blue (greyish blue) with black interior. Still don't like the rear. I've figured out what the front reminds me of now, an 02-03 TL...
  25. LOL, ask em and see what they say.
