  1. Hey All, I've been having similair problem with the autoleveling light coming on. When i start car, i see lights go up & down, so i know they work. The warning light on the dash seems to come up intermittantly. Here today, then off for a week, back on, then off. No real pattern as to when it comes on. Sometimes headlights are on, sometimes is just DRL. No suspension work lately, and the sensors are adjusted as in your pictures. Any ideas, btw Bartkat, I tried pm'ing you but no go. If you can, would you email me pdf's so i can troubleshoot problem further. Thanks. sendto: foise13@gmail.com
  2. check at dealer, i know for my IS, they are the only people that carry. Also they sell for about the same price as aftermarket models that are similar. Here in montreal, canada, deflector sells for +- $65.00 cdn. from Lex dealer.
  3. should i also put a high flow cat?
  4. Hey guys, I'm looking for your opinions/suggestions on what I should do next. I've got a 2001 IS300, with air intake, exhaust, and lowered suspension. The car rides nice, but I'm looking to get more power and don't want to spring big $$$ for a turbo. Thanks in advance.
  5. Hello David, I have a 2001 IS300, and can say from my experience, that road noise is next to none, but when it comes to ride comfort, we'll thats a matter of opinion. When I have my summer tires on, OEM mags/tires, along with the lowered suspension, it's a very stiff ride. Great ride in my opinion, but my grandmother would definately think differently. I really noticed the difference when I switched over to my winter tires which are mounted on 16" rims. With the increase in the sidewall height, the ride felt smoother, and I didn't feel some of the smaller bumps on the road. On the down side, with the winters, the amount of roll that I feel when taking corners has also greatly increased. It's a trade-off between comfort(for lack of a better word) and handling. Axle13
  6. How often should you change the long life(red) vs. the xtra long life (pink).
  7. Thanks for the info. So there is no inline fuel filter to change. One less thing to do.
  8. Hey All, I want to change my fuel filter, as preventative maintenance, however I understand, or have been led to believe that the only fuel filter on our is300's are in the tank. Is there no inline fuel filter? Either way how often should it be changed and if anyone has tips, they are more than welcome. Thanks in advance. Axle13
  9. Just my 2 cent's, but i used a small bag of chips, after i ate them of course, placed bag over filter, and removed filter with bag around it. worked great for me, and served as a snack while oil was draining out of the pan.
  10. thanks for the suggestions, i'll be picking up some klasse soon. anxious to give that a try, although i'm sure i read that preperation is key when using products like klasse or zaino. Up til now, i've been using mothers pre-wax cleaner, then swirl remover, and finish with wax, carnuba in summer, and now that winter's here, Meguiars gold class. next time i go through the whole process, i will clay the car, but i don't think that Mother's swirl remover will work with klasse. also, is it worth wet sanding the car, to get rid of the orange peel, if so what compounds do you guys recommend after the sanding. once again thanks for your comments/opinions, they are appreciated. 11. Thanks for the replies guys, I'll agree with you that the white is easier to keep clean than the dark blue/purple that i had on my last car. I'll have to give one of those products you mentioned a try.
  12. Hey guys, i've been reading much of the posts in this forum. I've seen the awsome results (mirror like finishes) that many of you have achieved on your cars with your favorite products. I'd like to know is it possible to get that kind of depth on a white car. If so what would you're recomendations be. So far what i've been doing is, prewax cleaner, sealer/glaze, finished with carnuba wax. steps 1 & 2 with o/b, wax by hand. I can't say i'm not happy with the results, cause it shines real nice, just doesn't have the depth you see in darker cars. B)
