For city mileage. Hard to argue with our Prius getting 50MPG in the city and the Lexus getting 20.

With good results... The fact of the matter is that a lot of these cars were bought back by Lexus... I don't think I would buy an LS that has the wind noise problem IMHO

LOL, this goes to show you its not your safety they care about...its their liability. For the record, with half the life gone from the tires you shouldn't just buy one tire, you need to buy two. However, putting the unused spare on created the same danger replacing the tire would have created! Nitrogen is just a gimmick...I wouldn't even consider that when choosing a place to buy tires from.

No you don't, you have Safety Connect, but you don't have Enform. Enform is only available with navigation. Reference lexus.com This is Enform: Enform comes with Safety Connect, but Safety Connect comes without Enform on cars without Navigation.

I wouldn't run regular in the LS...

Gonna cost a fortune, if you really want Navi, you'd be better off to trade the car in on one with it.

I think the rule of thumb is 10MPH over. I certainly have been stopped for less than 15 over before...

They're different I agree. That new 5 is a great car though isn't it? I don't doubt the findings of the survey, its just not a survey you routinely hear used to judge the attributes of cars...

In my experience TireRack is cheaper than Costco anyways...so I'd just order the tires from them and avoid the hassle...

I just got back from a round trip to WV, about 340 miles each way, 80MPH average speeds and for the last 100 miles or so some steep highway upgrades and downgrades. My average was 30.2MPG. I am beyond delighted with that...

I don't know about that poll. Its not a poll of owners or likely buyers (ages 15 and up?) its purely a "What do you think of this name?" poll...and I've never heard of a "Harris Poll" before...

I don't think the IS-F stands for Flagship, F-Sport is Lexus' "sport tuned" division moniker meant to be like Mercedes' AMG or BMW's M. I'm not sure what the "F" is supposed to mean...bit I'd be surprised if its Flagship. In any event, the car is still an IS, and all the basic features of the car, the displays, the switchgear, etc are all carried over from the IS...which is the entry Lexus (well I suppose the CT is now), and there are for sure going to be feature differences between it and the LS, no matter how high end an IS it might be or how old the LS might be.. I didn't know that about the seek buttons also fast forwarding...I suppose theres always something new to be learned!

Its probably just the weight when it gets put into corners coupled with the low profile tire... Only option for better life is smaller wheels probably.

If I had an 07-09 I wouldn't trade it on a 2012 that was the same as the 2011 probably, unless it was a lease or something I had to replace. I'd wait for the new model. There is a lot of competition out there for the ES now that it never used to have...I'm a little worried for them if this delay is true. Same for the Camry...the Camry is archaic compared to its competition nowadays.

Its a heavy car, how hard do you drive it?

I wouldn't use an over the counter conditioner product like Mothers on seats with perforations, its too thick... The Woolite is the best option (Woolite=natural detergent for wool)

Gen Y's are a very different demographic, and we really won't know how that effects what they buy until they start to become the primary consumer in the marketplace. I agree people want to be seen in nice cars, but what is the definition of "nice" going to be?

The dealers will put plated ones on for you...but you rarely see cars around here anymore with chrome wheels.
