  1. Unauthorized commercial link in your signature was removed. Just a suggestion from one business owner to another, dealing with customer complaints with snarky personally insulting responses just reinforces your company's negative image.
  2. Yeah as long as you're using a quality gasoline (I only buy gas from brand gas stations, Exxon, Shell, Sunoco, etc). Are you running premium? Is this with the transmission a new thing? These cars kinda have jerky transmissions. The ES350 is much better than previous ES', but it still can jerk you around a little...
  3. Yep, they'll bolt up just fine. Same car, same wheels basically just a different design. Congrats on the car! Its a great car...
  4. Yeah check the tire pressures, I bet they are too high...I bet when you check them they'll be like 40 plus...
  5. The OEM Michelins are LRR tires too ;) Welcome to the site!
  6. Actually my independent Lexus mechanic says the OEM Lexus filter is better than even the Mobil 1 filter...
  7. Very solid advice...
  8. Honestly? I think the OEM Lexus blades are the best ones to use. If you love the ones you have, why not replace them with the same thing?
  9. There really isn't a "spray on" type. Its just a polymer sealant and is LONG gone from the paint. I would detail it without giving any thought to this "protectant"...
  10. Well the new Camry came out, ES can't be too far behind. Not a huge fan of the new Camry: http://www.autoblog.com/2011/08/23/2012-toyota-camry-first-drive-review/
  11. I missed the whole thing! I was driving up out of a parking garage and must not have noticed it. By the time I got up out of the garage, people were out of their buildings in the streets and sidewalks... Oh well!
  12. I have been having the exact same intermittent problem with my backup camera. I'm planning on taking it to the dealer...but unless they can see it happen, they won't do anything...
  13. The GS should debut about a year before the ES...because of the delays I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see a new ES before 2014...
  14. Yes, it is a requirement of the lease to have regular scheduled maintenance done. If you don't do it you could be hit with penalties for being in default of your lease agreement. I do know people who lease cars and never do anything, not even change the oil and have no problems. I personally would never do that because...quite frankly I'm not a jerk. It doesn't cost much to do the scheduled maintenance on these cars as long as you don't have it done at the Lexus dealer. Change the oil every 5k and you should be fine.
  15. The stock system in the ES isn't incredible no, its okay and with listening to it over time I've come to enjoy it, but for someone used to higher end sound I can see how it would be muddy...
  16. If they are well cared for they can last significantly beyond that mileage. Does it have service records? You shouldn't ever need to replace an engine that has been well maintained.
  17. I'll reserve final judgement for the vehicle in person. Lexus designs always seem to look better in person than in photos. I will say though...its a lot more bland than I expected...
  18. From what I have heard replacing the speakers in these cars is very difficult, if not impossible...
  19. Make sure they are the PRIMACY MXV4, and not the MXV4 S8 or the MXV4 Plus
  20. Gas guzzling and safety are two totally different things...
  21. Haha! I love MotorWeek, been watching it since I was a kid. Its filmed in Owings Mills too, about 40 minutes from here...
  22. The problem with electric cars is one of flexibility, until you can get in an electric car and drive it across the country and be able to stop and recharge it in about the same amount of time you'd be able to refuel a gas car, they won't be mainstream. Even if people don't have that need, they need that flexibility in order to feel comfortable. But, that technology is coming. In Japan now they have electric battery pack swap stations where instead of refueling a pre-charge interchangeable battery pack is dropped from under the car and replaced in about 15 seconds...they're starting a similar pilot program in CA.
  23. Cool...how's the reception?
  24. To the OP: How are you calculating that? Are you relying on the readout or are you calculating it yourself? My guess would be the trip computer is malfunctioning...try calculating it longhand for a tank. Refill, reset the trip odometer and see how far you go until its empty again. If that mileage is accurate, it should only be about 100 miles until the gas light comes on again...
  25. I think we all should give it a rest...
