In the new design, I do like the LOOK of the interior on the GS better (better leather stitching, the surround for the nav screen is squared off and looks better, gauges look more expensive etc) its just ROOM where the GS really suffers.
On the exterior...I vastly prefer the ES350.
Analog clocks are so played out nowadays though. Infiniti started using them and everyone has jumped on the bandwagon. I think just a more modern looking clock would be more attractive.
I also wish the ES still had a 4 spoke steering wheel.
More woodgrain and a more natural looking grain for the dash material are tops on my list. And bring back triple stitched leather.
You'd have to go to a 17" wheel. Putting higher profile tires on the wheels you have is not a solution since it will increase the wheel's diameter and throw all the car's instruments off.
The GS has never appealed to me either, I just have never seen anything about it that would make me purchase one over the ES. Its RWD, which is better, but its smaller, not that much sportier really. I just don't get it.
Honestly I've never even once used my hooks. I guess the only reason you'd use them would be to hang up a jacket or something without a hangar. For dry cleaning no way they'll stay on that hook, you have to use the handles. For jackets I have the Lexus OEM coat hangar on my headrest from Japan.
I guess if you didn't have that hangar not having the hook would be annoying...
I think when I bought mine the average was $125k so that makes sense.
It also depends on where you live. In Minnesota you might be able to afford a new ES350 on a $75,000 a year income, but here for instance it'd be tough...forget about it on a 3 year financing deal. It'd be hard enough on a 5 year financing deal because the cost of living is so high...
Are you sure you have the Telios wheels and not OEM wheels that were chromed aftermarket?
The telios wheels are a factory optioned OEM part, there should be no question whether or not they would be covered by the warranty.
Can you post a picture of your wheels?
That was a mistype sorry, I meant to say I'm not a fact of chamois or terry towels.
I don't dislike Zaino, I just don't care for how it looks on dark colored cars.
Personally I would try and swing an 04-05 LS because the updates made to the car in '04 made it a much more appealing car (IMHO).
Really no years to avoid...
The PCS/Radar cruise is an EXTREMELY rare option of the ES, I've personally never even seen one with it...
What does Lexus have to say about your failure?
I haven't detailed mine in about that long. I do add wax to it though every couple of months.
As long as you keep them clean and in good shape, total detailing isn't really ever neccisary.
Mental issues like this are actually pretty common. Probably nothing more than a bad case of clinical depression.
The real sick thing here is that the boyfriend let her stay in there for all that time. She needed someone to care enough about her to get her some help.
Another thing to keep in mind is that water will bead up long after the wax or sealant is gone from the paint. Beading isn't an adequate sign of protection.
Whatever your detailer uses is LONG gone before a year Bren, especially up there.
I like it, its unique.
Nissan has come a long way. I drove a new Murano the other day and was EXTREMELY impressed. The interior was extremely well finished, I had an ES350 loaner at the time and the Murano had a MUCH higher quality and more upscale looking and feeling interior.
