  1. You actually believe a 1/2 quart more of fluid is going to ruin the tranny? That's the most rediculous thinking I've heard <_<
  2. It'll be fine till the next time he changes it <_<
  3. I think the pan holds 2qts an extra 1/2 quart won't make any difference. <_<
  4. Fiberglass cracks very easy, is not very flexible(hence cracks). Urethane is what the OEM is and it's by far the best material out there. Although, there is a new fiberglass mix that is very flexible. Almost no one uses it yet. <_< Also you need to be really careful on the body kits as sometimes they are not usually perfectly symmetrical( hence may require a bit of sanding or grinding to fit properly.
  5. The OEM amp pushes everything. So you'll need a 5 channel amp or 4 channel and a mono block or stereo amp bridged. You'll need converters if the amp doesn't have them built in. Search!!! Lots of info <_<
  6. Ebay for the rim, and yes, you'll have to take it to a licensed shop for the AC work. You can find a compressor on EBay cheaper. However, you'll usually get no warranty through the shop on parts you purchased elsewhere. <_< Find out what their warrantu is and decide what's the best deal for you.
  7. The ohms make a big difference! Unfortunately all car audio speakers(mids and highs) are either 8 or 4 ohms. You'd have to have 2 sets of speakers on each channel to get the 2ohm output. Usually at the lower impedance quality is sacrificed(higher distortion, heat, and amperage). The impedance is not something that can be changed by flipping a switch. I would recommend a PPI PC4800 or a Hifonics Olympus or Goliath(older models) all around 100x4 @4ohms with .002 to .005 distortion(very clean) US amps also make great amps, mainly designed for competition and running lots of speakers of small amps that put out tremendous power when loaded down with speakers. Also called cheater amps. Stock ratings are 4ohms for mid/highs and probabaly somewhere around 20 watts for each speaker with the sub probably at around 40 to 50 watts.
  8. Check fuel system and ignition systems. Worn plugs or wrong plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Dirty or clogged filter or injectors. Try dumping a can of seafoam in the tank, availavle at napa, as general maintenance. <_<
  9. Yes, It's a different filter! Search as this has been covered numerous times and read deadmiles post as well. Air fresheners only mask the odor, they don't neutralize it as a flush would do. <_<
  10. If the smell is only coming from the AC system, it's worth a try changing the filter. More than likey the smoke has found it's way into the evaporator :P and is trapped in it. A flush can be done of the AC vents using a powerful deoderizer by the dealer and some aftermarket shops if the filter doesn't work. <_<
  11. Hifonics used to be one of the best amps out there. However, they were bought out by another company and sad to say the quality was downgraded. I don't think the amp has enough power to give you loud sound (55x4) is just not enough, in my opinion. Id look for a PPI amp or hifonics amp(older model, used) that has at least (100x4) for the highs. I'd do about 4 to 500 watts for the bass(again older PPI or hifonics). Ratings are not to be trusted unless the amps are of a high quality, reliable source. <_< With this kind of clean and loud power you're also going to be need too upgrade the alternator to around 160 to 200 amps for the best sound, plan on spending about 5 to $600 for wire, alternator and all the other parts needed. When you're ready let me know as I'm an expert in upgraded electrical systems and can help you out immeasureably in guidance.
  12. One has nothing to do with the other <_< The car is running rough because of other reasons, not the CCA of the battery.
  13. If you can tighten a clamp you can do it yourself! It's very easy to install, adding it won't damage anything. You might get an extra 3 to 5hp drpending on the kit you go with. Your car ill be louder,, so think about it, bfore doing it. You won't really notice much difference unless you go with a less restrictive exhaust as well. Searck on google for a kit, injen makes good stuff.
  14. You didn't say whether you looked under the hood for any holes drilled in the firewall or any grommets missing or not fully installed on the firewall . <_<
  15. I "meticulously" maintain my GS3 and do alot of the work myself, however, I have receipts for just about everything done on the car. It should be obvious just by looking under the hood or under the car at the suspension to tell if al the rubber has been replaced recently. If you can't tell take it to a trustworthy professional and they'll be sure to let you Know. <_<
  16. Did you wash under the hood when you washed the car? More than likely when you washed it water leaked in through a missing body plug or hole that may have been drilled for something aftermarket. I think the AC condenser is on the passenger side, if it is it rules out the ac leaking as big400 mentioned. <_<
  17. If you're replacing the factory amp you need a 5 channel or a 4 channel and a monoblock or a 4 channel and a 2 channel bridged mono or 2) 2 channels and a monoblock or 3) 2 channels with one being bridged mono or a 6 channel with 2 of the channels being bridged mono. You get the point? If you're not replacing the factory amp, you can get by with a monoblock or 2 channel bridged mono. YOU NEED TO THINK ABOUT THE FUTURE, BEFORE BUYING ANYTHING!!!! Figure out your goal for your stereo and then buy what you need. Otherwise you'll probabaly buy something that won't be compatible if you make any changes in the future. <_<
  18. I'm afraid they did send me the engine filter, but when I called them he swore up and down that I had the correct part # to match the cabin air filter. They said I could send it back for a full refund, no problem. But that still leaves me without a cabin air filter. I called my local Toyota dealer, and they don't even carry a cabin air filter for a 2001 Lexus GS300. I don't know who posted the previous message, but I'm not sure a Toyota cabin air filter is the same as a Lexus cabin air filter, seeing as they didn't even carry a Lexus cabin filter. They told me to call the Lexus dealer ← Uhmmm!?!?!? You don't ask for a 2001 Lexus GS300 Filter. You ask for a toyota SUV or sedan filter. Of course they're going to tell you to go to Lexus.
  19. Jeremy at leatherseats.com recommends meguiars leather cleaner. I use it and it works great. <_<
  20. Are you sure they didn't send you the engine air filter, instead of the cabin air filter? I'm sure they'll take care of you if they screwed up and refund your money, including shipping. <_<
