  1. I just had my timing belt changed. I talked to my mechanic and also a certified Lexus mechanic and both said the engine is interference. Non-interference is not correct!
  2. My GS has black leather interior. Has anyone found a way to remove the shine and give it a more matted finish? I think there is so much leather cleaner/armor all stuff on them they look cheap! The leather is in very good shape however. Any thoughts? THANKS!
  3. Sounds great....I will try that. I think the lights do dim as you mention above but I will double check. Thanks.
  4. Yes I can turn them on manually and they function properly except for the auto feature.
  5. I tried it out in complete darkness in my garage last night. The headlights did not come on...only the parking lights. What is a DMM?
  6. My 98 GS300 has an issue with the auto headlight feature. When it is on auto only the parking lights come on...no matter how dark it is the headlights will not turn on. Any thoughts? I know there is a sensor on the dash but not sure if I should replace it?? This forum has been helpful. Thanks.
  7. I need to change the timing belt soon but was told by a guy with a 99 gs300 that the cars have a non-interference engine. Therefore, if the belt broke I would only get stuck. Is this true?
  8. Welcome to everyone! This board has been helpful to me and I am making my first post. I bought a silver 98 GS300. The headlight covers are dirty on the inside. There is no moisture, but they are not super clean anymore. Is it easy to clean? What is the best way to get in there? (I did a search and could not find anything on this). THANKS!
