  1. the exact same thing happened to me too. really frustrated me everytime i see the shifter leather, wished i could have done a better job that time. and i have yet to come out with a solution neither.
  2. do a search for it on google, there are a bunch of them online, i bought mine replacement piece online for $45 free shipping. i think the website is either http://www.veneerz.com/ or www.wooddashexperts.com/ it looks a lot better then the original woodgrain cover.
  3. thought it'll be an interesting thread. post cars that you curretly and past owned & your driving impressions of them. my past cars: 99 Infiniti G20 - one of the most balanced fwd cars in terms of its stock suspension and cornering ability. NA SR20 a bit underpowered though. 96 Audi A4 - can't beat the quattro, handles incredible in rains and wet surface, also underpowered and quality is crap. 97 Nissan Altima - dairy driver, grocery shopping car, nothing special. but quality is good, never lets me down. 93 Volvo 240 - build like a tank, that's all i can say. 99 Toyota Corolla - good build, horrible brakes. 97 Acura CL - strong VTEC engine, bad brakes and the worst air conditioning system of all car makes. currect car: 93 Lexus GS300 - very impressed with its comfort and luxury even after 13 years. very solid build quality. too bad we don't get the twin turbo 2JZs here in US. a bit too heavy, but by far my favorite. tight car. future car, hopefully soon: 2005 Subaru Legacy GT - turbo boxer + symmetrical AWD = winner. sporty yet elegant styling both exterior and interior. best of all, 250 horses and 250 lb/ft. torque for only 30K.
  4. i was working on glueing the window frames then i found out that the rear driver side window doesn't work anymore, it rolled down once then just stopped working. i can't hear the motor run inside, but it just doesn't move the glass, i tried to put the window up, but it felt loose, as soon as i pull it up, it slide down again. is it the regulator?? by the way, i bought the Gorilla Glue and used it to glue the window frame back, and guess what.......it works great!! i wonna take her on the freeway to see if the wind noise is still there or not, but since the rear windows is screwed, i have to get it fixed first, bad luck, i guess.
  5. recently i have noticed that my headlight are not aiming stright, does anybody know where and how i can re-set the allignment of the lights??
  6. i'm gonna try the glue fist to see if it helps or not.....any suggestions on what type or what brand of glue i should use? wind visor sound pretty good, but i kind of feel that putting the wind visor on is gonna mess up the overall look of the car. any other solutions?? thanks for the reply, guys.
  7. i got a REALLY loud wind noise coming from the driver side window. the noise is from the top right corner near the B-pillar. i've noticed that the window frames on both the driver side door and the back door have gaps between the frame and the door and that might be where the noise come from. anybody ever had the same problem?
  8. every morning when i try to start my car, the engine always take a long while to start, anybody had the similar experience? spark plugs, perhaps??
  9. i need the whole sidemirror assembly. thanx.
  10. how much are you selling the sidemirror for? i need the driver side only. and i'm also interested in buying your leather skins. how much are you offering? where are you located? i live in SoCal.
  11. hey guys... finally, i'm a Lexus owner now. i bought a 93 GS300 with 165000 miles for $5500. overall condition is good for a 12 years old car. however, there are some things that bothers me. 1. the center wood veneer around the transmission is peeling off, i know ebay sell the woodtrim kit, but i only want the replacement for the broken piece. 2. the cupholder is missing, where can i get it? 3. the driver sidemirror is broken. 4. many cracks on the leather seat, any treatment? oh...and one more question. which type of motor oil would be good for my car considering it has a lot of mileage on it already. i've only owned her for 2 days, but i'm really impressed with the car and i love every moment driving the car. thanx for the reply, guys.
  12. hey, guys. i'm thinking about buying a 1st. GS300, and my budget is around $6000. i found a 94 with 180K miles on it asking $6300. i'm gonna go check it out tomorrow. but if the car looks and drives fine, should i get it? is the mileage too high for the car? and the price?? thanx for the replies.
  13. hey, guys. i have been thinking about purchasing a 1st Gen GS300 for a while now. i have never owned a toyota or a lexus, so i don't know much about them. but i do know that toyota/lexus are some of the best built cars in the world. i drive a infiniti G20 now and i owned a Audi A4 before. both are good cars, but it's time for me to move on to a better car now. my budget is around $6000~7000 range. can i get a solid car at this price with a reasonable mileage? and what about the parts? are they more expensive compared to toyota parts? thanx guys, any reply would be appreciated. oh, by the way, i live in SoCal.
