  1. That member is in the UK so yes that's $2.12 per litre......or $8.01 per US gallon....& $9.63 for a UK gallon. :chairshot: I don't know why the oil companies don't just wear masks & carry shotguns! lol
  2. I wish I lived closer to you Josh.....I'd be a regular customer! :) Best of luck bud with the detailing business....it's a lot of work, but you sound like you enjoy it & that's what matters. B)
  3. Did you get the problem fixed? Mine was just done a couple months back. The service manager called it the steering knuckle.
  4. Let us know your findings at 30 PSI.
  5. Yup, all you need is the touch up paint pen (less than $10) from your Lexus dealers parts department. Easy fix. ;) Might want to use a bit of polishing compound on the area first & get rid of the scratch & you should be good to go. :)
  6. Beautiful looking ride!! Welcome. B)
  7. Won't be long for the wheels & tires dhennessey.....welcome to the club. ;)
  8. Volvo's are pretty solid cars overall......I personally am not a fan of the styling nor the fact that they are under the Ford umbrella.....but that's just a personaly opinion. I'll take the Lexus flagship over the Volvo one anyday. Here is a pretty good used vehicle write up on the S80... http://www.canadiandriver.com/articles/bm/99-03volvo_s80.htm
  9. I replied to this thread in the LS forum......no need for a double post. Thread closed.
  10. Sounds interesting.....I'd consider it if the publication content is of high quality. B)
  11. The Amsoil EA air filters are fantastic products & I highly recommend them.....unfortunately, it appears Amsoil never made one for your year LS......I can't get one either for my 2005 ES which bugs me :( Best suggestion is to e-mail them & ask if they have any plans to make one for your car. Failing that, the WIX air filters are very good products too, they just won't last as long as the Amsoil EA air filter. I sold on the fact that these filters are cheaper than your K & N's & the like & only require a vacuum once a year. I've had them in my last 3 cars (including my 2006 Subaru Forester XT Turbo.....so I can't figure out for the life of me why they do not make one for our cars). Stay clear of the Fram from what I have heard. Might want to consider the Amsoil EA Oil filter as well........one of the very best available.
  12. Might have some luck on e-bay or an auto wrecker / salvage yard.
  13. If the WP is the original & considering that mileage.....I would advise changing that at the same time personally. I do agree to use only OE Toyota parts though. :)
  14. Can you post a pic or two of the area in question? Perhaps all it needs is some touch up paint.
  15. Are you thinking about getting a PB edition ES Steve?
  16. I think this is an extremely old thread. ;)
  17. The strut tower bar made a difference on my 2001 Nissan Maxima SE.....I noticed a slight imporvement in steering feel & handling. The mod was only about $125 installed. Never bothered with either of my ES's however......that's not the cars mission.
  18. Also might want to try e-bay or an auto wrecker / salvage yard. :)
  19. If it is rubbing, I think the fix would be spacers.
  20. Looking good Josh!! Always liked that blue. B)
  21. Just remember the auto brokers are the 'middle man' if you will & they have to get their chunk of change out of the deal. Welcome to the club btw. B)
  22. It's an interesting theory generally speaking (willing to give it a shot here), but I'm not the most confident it will work personally.....Gas prices here as of this morning are $1.15 per Litre......do the conversion & that's $4.35 for a U.S. Gallon or $5.22 of an Imp gallon ...and will continue to rise as we get into the summer months. The best advice I've heard (short of taking public transit, or switching to a more fuel efficient vehicle) is to combine your errands, look far down the road to aviod hard stops, drive gently on acceleration & keep your vehicle properly tuned & tire pressures at their correct level.....stretch out that tank of gas.
