  1. The button actually changes the gear ratios from a 4 speed to a 3 speed in the transmission.
  2. Yeap, me too.... Mine would take a couple of turns of the keys to get started in the morning. Seemed it only happened when it was warm to cold. My shop checked it out and thier conclusion was to replace the starter. Said he checked the cabling and silenoids. Starts right up now.
  3. I can answer to a couple: 1: CDs upside down? 4. Switch in glove compartment turned off?
  4. I can't seem to find any after market headlight assemblies for my 1999 ES300. One of my is scratched up and the other one is turning yellow. Has any one come across an option for this? other than high prices new ones. Or, what options do I have to clean them up? Thanks for the help, Max
  5. You should be able to get a wiring harness that connects an aftermarket stereo to the factory amp. And you use the low level / line outs of the aftermarket stereo. That way, you won't need to fool with wiring the speakers. You'd need a mounting kit as well. Max

  7. You may have knocked a connection loose in the back of the radio. Maybe take it out and make sure all the connections are secure. Max
  8. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Your post here saved me $50. That's what the Lexus dealer wanted for programming the key that I just bought from them. "L" key for $65. Thanks again for a very helpful post! Max
  9. I've got a little bit of wind noise coming from both the driver's and passenger sides at higher speeds. Or if the wind blows cross-ways. Has anyone experienced this and is there an easy fix? Or did I replace the rubber trim all around? Thanks, Max
  10. I’m looking to replace my gear shift knob on my 1999 ES300. I've got the new one coming. Any installation help or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks, Max
  11. 1999 ES300 Couch Ed with 98,000 miles. Paid owner $8K and then had 90K service done. So, I'm in it for $9,200 Max
  12. I've got a new gear shift knob coming in for my new (used) 1999 ES300. The knob now is worn and I want a new look. Has anyone replaced the knob before? Any instructions or heads up would be much appreciated! Thanks, Max
