  1. Next oil change, I'd love to see pics for 'how to' on this model Steve. I wonder why they went back to the spin on filter for the GS 350?
  2. Please use the search feature as there is a wealth of info on the K & N subject. Most of us here stay clear of Fram products. Thread closed.
  3. ^ Agreed! B)
  4. I'm using regular in my ES 330 as well.....no issues whatsoever.
  5. Enjoy Tim.....nice choice! B)
  6. Keep us posted what the Toyota dealers says tlewis.....very sorry to hear about your home. :(
  7. Happy B-Day!! B)
  8. I had the same problem with my 05.....the dealer replaced all the front mat clips (no charge) and I have not had the problem again. B) Might want to give that a shot.
  9. I appreciate it CP B) steviej makes a good point as well......nothing wrong with good old fashioned DOT 3 fluid. OEM brake parts are of very high quality to.....just something to keep in mind.
  10. What's the mileage on your ES? And do you know if it's still under the powertrain warranty (6years/70k miles)?
  11. Why were you letting your car idle for 20+ minutes in the first place? Your getting 0 mpg by doing that. What is your current mileage & when was the last time you had a coolant flush? Your thermostat might also need to be replaced as it sounds like it might be getting stuck.

    China

It's just aweful what's going on over in China & Myanmar right now. :(
  13. I just had my ES 330 tinted last month....I used Solar Gard 20% (medium shade on all windows except the windshield of course) 'charcoal' series tint. Llumar is another high quality tint that I have used & have been happy with. Make sure you find a shop that does high quality work.....the rear windows on the ES's are a pita so just a head's up. B) Some pics of my tint in this thread... http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=46631 Also pics of my previous 2001 ES with tint here... http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=20981
  14. CP...here is the explanation for the PCV valve... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PCV_valve The part should be under $10.00 or there abouts......just a small (but important) plug & play item. I usually change them every tune up. B)
  15. What did Ziebart charge for the installation? Just curious.
  16. If you currently do not have any oil leaks, you will be just fine switching to synthetic. Use 5W 30 (double check your owners manual as 10W 30 might be suggested for your climate) grade & a high quality oil filter such as Toyota.....stay clear of Fram.
  17. cp....I am personally not familiar with the type 200 brake fluid but they look identical as far as specs is concerned (see link below) so either should be fine (the 'super blue' is also suitable for racing applications as well as street duty)... http://www.ate-na.com/generator/www/us/en/...bf_info_us.html Double check your air filter & PCV valve condition.....these are two very inexpensive parts to replace & can cost you bigtime in fuel economy if they are not in good shape. ;) Switching to synthetic oil might also improve fuel economy slightly. Let us know what the suspension problem was. The quote for the brakes sounds pretty decent imo.
