I'm not sure why even a 'dry fill' is even mentioned??? Bottom line is capacity should be 5.6 Qt's with the filter change....or 5.3 litres. How long did you let the oil drain out? Might also want to consider using the Amsoil EAO57 oil filter if your using the Amsoil oil already......take full advantage of the product.

If you looking for a quiet tire.....I'd go with Michelin personally. B)

I have no personal experience with Kumho tires......in the past on this site & others I belong to they are not very hightly rated....remember you only get what you pay for. ;) You would have to get a set of 16" wheels, but if you found a set of OE Lexus 16" wheels....they should be 'plug & play' with no issues. The advantage of a larger wheel/tire would be that it would fill out the wheel well a little better & depending on the tire you select, there is a good chance you would get more overall longevity.....not so much better fuel economy. Is it worth it? Depends on how you look at it. I am subsituting my ES 330 (17") alloy wheels for a set of ES 350 17" ers.....I like the design better personally......although to the untrained eye, most will not even notice the change.....but I will....and that's what matters.....as I have to have my cars a certain way & I prefer to 'personalize' it with OE wheels as opposed to an aftermarket set. B)

Might want to consider either the Goodyear Triple Tred's, the Yokohama Avid H4S or possibly the Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S. What size tire do you need (205 65 15 or 205 60 16?). Get a 4 wheel alignment once you have the new tires on. More info here... Is it not mentioned in the owners manual? Also try giving your local Lexus dealer a call to ask them....I know mine is by the glove compartment.

My new tires have arrived finally (!) & getting them installed next Tuesday (May 6th) along with a 4 wheel alignment. Pics to follow soon after. :D

All I do is take 5 qt's (they drain & fill a little over 4 qt's total & give me the rest back....which I use to change the PS fluid myself) to my dealer and a drain plug gasket.....my Lexus dealer charges me $20. I do this every 2 years or 30k miles religiously.

I curious as to why many hesitate to use Amsoil ATF on a drain & fill? It's fully compatible with Toyota Type IV (which is average fluid at best....and based on the number of tranny problems especially in the RX category even when the tranny's are maintained at regular intervals problems stil occur.....I'd be looking for something much better & longer lasting personally) which is stated right on the bottle, not to mention it's synthetic. I've used it on my last 4 vehicles (including 2 Lexi that recommended only Type IV fluid), not a stitch of tranny troubles & in fact, much smoother shifting....especially during the cold winter months. No slippage either. Any members here experience a tranny failure or major problems after switching to Amsoil ATF on a mechanically sound transmission? :whistles:

I agree that the way one drives & maintains their tires greatly increases it's treadlife.....but my point was one should not overlook it's overall treadwear rating. ;)

Welcome to LOC.....do you have any maintenance history on the car? IE: when was the last major tune up, tranny flush etc? What is your current mileage?

Correct.....your looking for an 05 or 06 ES only. Welcome to LOC btw. :)

It depends.....you should also consider the treadlife ratings of each...the heavier tires should give you more overall mileage.
