  1. You can't buy leaded gasoline in Canada.....and haven't been able to for decades. I do agree though your not going to do any damage to your engine if you run a high quality regular grade. ;)
  2. It was a joke, lighten up. why doesn't Lexus dealers offer better tires on new cars? I had dunlop sport 5000 v rated tires when I bought it and they sucked! You have a great day and thanks! tim Because Lexus (and all automakers for that matter) are generally much more concerned about meeting CAFE standards with low rolling resistance & poor traction rubber. Safety & control is quite a bit lower on their list. ;) That's not to say that they don't put some decent tires on some of their models......just not the majority of them.
  3. You have any rubbing issues?? I noticed these are 1" wider then the stock rims that came on the '98 ES300 that I'm picking up. 15 x 6J width is stock. I was checking these GS350 rims out, but they are 7.5" wide rims.....not sure if a spacer is necessary http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SET-OF-OEM-...bayphotohosting Mine were 'plug & play' with the same offset as my previous alloys. I was actually going to buy that exact set.....'hyper silver' but I did not like that vendor's attitude when I asked him a couple of questions. There are lot's of choices if your going with an OE Lexus wheel.
  4. Can you post a pic or two of the part your referring to? A good place to start is an auto wrecker / salvage yard or e-bay.
  5. ATE Super blue (or 'Smurf Blood') fluid is excellent stuff....and DOT 4 is fine in place of DOT 3.....you'll be just fine. B)
  6. Welcome moon B) I use regular in my 2005 ES & get fantastic gas mileage & the engine purrs like a kitten. ;)
  7. My dealer is very reasonably priced too...feels strange compared to the prices I was paying in the big city.
  8. Agreed......you should not have any issues with the H speed rated rubber......generally speaking H speed tires usually have a longer treadlife than V rated.
  9. I didn't know the LS had seat filters.
  10. Agreed.....perhaps the dealer or Lexus head office can shed some light (pull the service records) on this as to the cause of the failure.
  11. Understood & agreed Steve......would you say your friend overall is pleased with his TT's though?
  12. Correct.....iridiums are better, longer lasting (and more expensive) plugs than platinum's.
  13. I've heard some mention about the tire noise from the Triple Tred's......this baffles me simply because this is my 4th set in as many cars (2 Lexi & 2 Subaru's). When the tires have the correct air pressure & are properly aligned, there is no tire noise whatsoever. For an all season tire, you won't do much better in your neck of the woods for snow traction than the TT's.....the Nokian WR All weather plus are probably slightly better overall for snow......but now we can talk about road noise with these 'shoes'. ;) Considering your in CO, I would suggest a good set of winter tires/wheels.......they are worth their weight in gold.
  14. Currently I have it set to 'sport' I found in my previous ES that the ride was a little too harsh in that setting so I had it set the same as crzn.
  15. All fluid capacities are listed in your owners manual too. ;)
  16. Double check the owners manual.....you might have iridium plugs in there.....not platinum's. ;) I will be changing mine (iridium) at the 60k mile mark personally.
  17. I would just stick with the 'drain & fills' as steviej mentioned. For an absolute complete flush, you will need more than 12 qt's I'm afraid.
  18. PM replied to Brian
  19. Very sweet looking ride! :)
  20. Sounds exactly like George Carlin.....one of my fav comedian's Was just looking for something classy with a small Lexus logo on it......not something that screams LEXUS. ;)
  21. Welcome & go with the IS! B)
