  1. I got involved with my subwoofer after replacing all four of my speakers. The speakers have 3x if not more bass than the subwoofer. I read a lot of the subwoofer related posts. Now, I am confused and have couple of questions: I have a 1993 with Nakamichi sound system. 1. Do I have a 8” or 10” subwoofer? I ask this because people in the past posted that 1990-92 have 8” and 1993&94 have 10”. (I can just pull the grill off and measure it myself, but currently I don’t have the tools to do that except for pen and pencils!) There is someone selling a subwoofer with the brackets and I would like to experiment with that one if the size matchs with mine. 2. People have also replaced 8” with aftermarket 10”. So, can I get a 12” if I have 10”? 3. Is there a separate amplifier for the subwoofer? My amplifier is located above the 6-disc cd-changer. These are the questions I have after reading past posts on here and at club lexus. Thanks for reading.
  2. I had good experience with Discount tires as well and dislike firestone garbage service also.
  3. 93 LS 162,000 miles Mines does that do too sometimes at the first start-up of the day; especially when it has not been started in two days or so.
  4. Really?????? I don't even get a pop-up, from that virus site! What antivirus are you running? Maybe it was something else.
  5. Due to few threads made by our members about dreadful incidents on eBay. I thought it would be appropriate to post this video of ebay :P : http://www.stupidvideos.com/video/song_dance/On_eBay/
  6. Let’s all be less vague and tell what part of the video was incorrect?
  7. I found more information about aquapel glass treatment: http://www.ppg.com/gls_aquapel/default.htm
  8. Just to update: Those AudioBahn speakers work great. Now I think I am getting every penny out of the Nakamichi system. If you are out to buy new speakers, be sure to look at the sensitivity rather than the max or peak power watts. "In general a higher quality speaker will have a higher sensitivity rating, larger and or heavier magnet, and a higher Xmax. It should be noted that a higher power driver will not necessarily be louder than a lower power one. For example a speaker that is 3 dB more efficient than another will produce double the SPL (or loudness) for the same power than the other. Thus a 100W speaker (A) rated at 92 dB/(W.m) efficiency will be double as loud as a 200W speaker ( B ) rated at 89 dB/(W.m) when both are driven with 100W of input power. For this particular example, when driven at 100W, speaker A will produce the same SPL or loudness that speaker B would produce with 200W input. Thus a 3 dB increase in efficiency of the speaker means that it will need half the power to achieve a given SPL, and this translates into a smaller power amplifier and some cost savings."
  9. How much memory usage does it take to run this.....?
  10. All of my alloy wheel center caps are losing the paint. One of them is just yellow and all of the paint is gone. Now, there are wheel caps in perfect condition going for $20 a pop shipped on ebay that is $80 total. So, is there something "I" can do (DIY). Thank you

  12. This is the old Nakamichi rear speaker: These are both old and the new Pioneer TS-G1041R: Pioneer TS-G1041R: power range: 2-20 watts RMS (110 watts peak power) frequency response: 80-22,000 Hz sensitivity: 91 dB The Pioneer is a bit smaller and the size of the magnet is not even remotely close to the huge heavy Nakamichi. So I am going to return those and just ordered these: Audiobahn AS40Q (with removable tweeters you can mount them anywhere else) power range: 2-80 watts RMS (160 watts peak power) frequency response: 90-20,000 Hz sensitivity: 93 dB
  13. Opps......I just ripped them out the panel of my left rear door. OH well....
  14. Local junk yards where no help? I'm not sure, about this but I have noticed that you spelled panel with an a. I tried it with an e and pretty nice results showed up on eBay: http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?c...anel&category0=
  15. Well I got around to ripping the rear door apart, what was holding me back was a screw in the handle. I haven’t looked at the other doors, but the rear one that was recently working is ripped severely (post pics later). I plugged a new one in and it sounded AWESOME. This is what I am putting in all four: http://www.circuitcity.com/rpsm/oid/142773...roductDetail.do Every store had 2-way, so I just went with it, so I guess you can say I bought 8 speakers!? :P
  16. OH Thank you so much, they are real specific. I have one another question, as I was pulling it out before I saw this metal clips every where in the bottom (as you can see in the lower part of the door here): How do you put them back? Glue them back or what?
  17. 1993 LS400 I am trying to pull out the inside panel of the door. As you know there are more plastic screws, latches, etc. holding the inside then just the outside screws. I tried pulling out the inside panel of the back door before but it looked as if I was going to break something. There were metal pieces that were glued to the panel and the door. I mean how the heck I am going to put those back together once I pull it out. I have never done this before so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  18. Why do you have a purple box in your sig?
  19. Was there any damage done to the car's exterior? Never thought about window tint’s like that……………...
  20. Superb. What’s the bumper sticker?
  21. I'm am certain that many people before you have asked the same question. As I did before I bought mine as well. Search the forum and see what others have discussed before, and see if you can provide us with pictures of the actual car. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?act=Search&f=
  22. Did you try googling it? http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=53...te+Of+The+Union
