  1. i'm a gs3 owner and I love my car. It's probably one of the only jdm converted gs' around here in the states. I've gone to the extreme and had the admiration kit made for me along with it's matching jdm spoiler. So far, I know only two of these wings exist in the u.s. and I own both of them. One is carbon fiber and the other is fiberglass. It's about 90% converted into an aristo. I'm just missing the gte engine minor things like a front center speaker on the dash. But it's a great car. I'm running almost 200k on my car and it runs strong. If you get the car, take very good care of it. Mine's a 93 and people still jock my car. So yeah, I would get rid of your ES for the GS any day. You won't regret it. Just make sure everything checks out. these are a couple of pictures from the gallery section. I love my baby.
  2. about the rear axle question for the 3.0V, I'm guess that it should be the same as a mark IV supra TT. check the specs for that.
  3. hey what's up. I'm a big aristo fanatic. The stock spoiler from a true aristo is three pieces. bacically all the pieces wrap around the rear. The u.s. spec spoiler is just one piece. Hopefully this will help you out. here's a pic of the original aristo wing for the jz147
  4. I would recommend the aristo fog lights like the ones i have because they're original and have the yellow bulb. only bad thing is you have to use original toyota aristo bumpers to fit them... that or you can custom fit them. but anways, personally, they look way better than the u.s. version.
  5. sorr for the long wait, yeah, if you want to take out the foglights, you have to jack up the front end, remove the scrape guards underneath the engine bay and remove the fog lights... in the front, you'll see two plastic pieces on the inner side i believe... there should be one bold in each side. good luck.
  6. well as for engine parts, the 93-97 supra non-turbo will be an exact match... as for misc. body parts, the camry and avalon are kinda similar in parts, but don't know if they will fit i.e. door handles and stuff like that. You can also try looking for a toyota aristo. Those are the j-spec version of the lexus gs300
  7. well for one, you don't want oil leaking from your head gasket... that would mean you have a blown head gasket and your car would be overheating. so it couldn't be that. you should steam clean your engine from top to bottom and then look for possible leaks. if you don't find any leaks, then your car is burning a lot of oil. so check that out first.
  8. Well what kind of cd changer do you have? what year is your gs?
  9. i've put up a post on the removal of these bulbs. do a search for them and see what happens. here is a picture of the rear of the fog light http://us.f2.yahoofs.com/users/40fe778a_11...hpkYZBBo1Nj8xjv all you have to do is like twist the black disk and remove your bulb. carefull with the wiring harness while removing. http://us.f2.yahoofs.com/users/40fe778a_11...hpkYZBBhEHjp2ob hope these photos help you. good luck.
  10. hey what's up, i had a panasonic dvd screen hooked into my 93. I don't know of a kit made for it. If you notice, the shape is not a square. I had my my face plate custom made. So yeah, i think you're going to get it custom made my friend. If you're handy with particle board, you can make your own.
  11. for your triptronics, you might have a bad tranny sensor... and about the starter, what won't it do? kick over or even engage?
  12. Well if I'm right, you own a gs4 correct? well to clean out the throttle body, just removed the air intake pipe from the throttle body. Grab your throttle body cleaner and dampen a small rag with it. With a long flathead screw driver, wrap the dampen cloth at the tip, open up the butterfly of the throttle body and begin to swab around... this will give it a good cleaning... DO NOT spray throttle body cleaner directly into the throttle body. Good luck
  13. Well I'm from cali and as long as you have your vaccum lines hooked up right and the air filter working in prime condition with a C.A.R.B. number slapped on the air filter setup, then you will pass. It's not so much a visual they are looking for but more over the actual CARB sticker. So yeah, as long as you meet the requirements, you should be all good to go.
  14. I just noticed that you're from california. Brak just brought it to my attention to as you how you got your car passed the DOT inspection at customs let alone having it imported? In order for you to possibly bring that down is if you have a letter from toyota of japan stating that this car is equal to the lexus gs300. I know this because I wanted to import one myself and did all the research. I contacted the company and I was denied the letter because the aristo did not conform to u.s. specs. So tell me how you got it... Pictures of letters and car and information, customs paperwork would be greatly appreciated.
  15. congrats on your purchase... keep the one you got.
  16. hey kstyle what's up bro, which grill are you talking about? Are you talking about my friend from japan with the silver Aristo? Let me know what's up yo.
  17. sorry to hear what happened to your car, but i have some 93 fog lights available. let me know what's up.
  18. glad to hear that it all worked out fine with your lights. i'm always out to help fellow gs owners. enjoy your new clean lights. just remember to keep doing that when you wash your car. eventually they'll stop yellowing. mine did. they just stay clear now. TWINTURBO619, I am hoping that you might be able to help me out. I have a set of JDM headlight but the drivers side has a broken stud on it. The headlight does not sit flush against the car. I was looking for a replacement. The car is a 1994 GS300. Any help would be appreciated. THanks redstar1428 Hey redstar, what's going on man, i'll ask my friend if he has any on hand right now. at the moment he's sending me a pair for my car. i'll get back with you on the jdm headlight request.
  19. hey what's up and welcome to the club. i too have a 93 gs and it's a great car. take good care of it. i have about 195k on my car and it still drives like a dream. i still use castrol gtx in mine and i have no problems with it. these cars are very low maintenance. well i gotta run. talk to you later and enjoy the site.
  20. welcome to the club... lexus is one of the most prestiges and elite cars out on the streets and market.
  21. i didn't break my back cover but had a buddy of mine send me an orginal japanese key cover with the toyota emblem. i think it's pretty bad !Removed!. so i'm sure some where there is an extra key cover for you.
  22. where did you get the plexi glass cleaner and what brand is it??thanks for the help i think someone had mentioned in another thread that it was called plastix.
  23. if you don't feel like shelling out cash for new headlights, try meguires hi-tech yellow wax... it works wonders on cleaning headlights. apply and buff out. you'll see your headlights shine again.
  24. yeah no problem, that's why we're here... to help eachother out. but hopefully you took my advice and see the major difference.
  25. if you notice, the amber piece of plastic is on the outside of your heaglights, the jdm amber piece is in the inside which makes your whole lens clear. i'll ask my friend how much for everything. i'll get back to you.
