  1. the bulb type is d2r in 4100k. if you want a blue/purple color go with 6000k.
  2. i would search cars.com for what the going rate is for a 2001 gs300. i would say $30k with 41000 miles would not be a good deal. if it had 20000 miles, it would be worth it. bare in mind that the warranty will be running out soon , at lease one of the warranty.
  3. neo, where did you mount your ballast? any pics of the wiring job. I want to do this also and any pictures will help me. calvin
  4. neo thanks for the pics. what brand did you get. was it plug and play or did you have to splice into your existing harness. i'm look at mccoulaugh (sp?) 5200 kit. Did you have to drop the front bumper? where did you mount the ballast? can you email me at corkycalvin@yahoo.com if you don't want to reply on the board. calvin
  5. i think the foam adds to a better tighter fit so the dust gets trapped onto the filter. i'll give it a try this weekend if time permits.
  6. HREwheelmaker, do you have pictures of your car. i would like to see your 20" wheels. please send to corkycalvin@yahoo.com. i see that you live in s. cal also. thanks
  7. it's not factory setting since mine is the same as your. i think someone tweaked their gs fog lights to turn on w/o their headlights on. i don't know how to do this but i'm sure someone out there knows.
  8. has anyone done an aftermarket hid conversion on your 9006 low beam? i've seen many aftermarket 9006 HID conversion kits. if anyone has done this, can i see some pictures? i know it will not be like factory and there will be some glare or hot spots but brighter lights are always a plus. TIA
  9. thanks for the post. i will try to make one myself. after looking at the oem filter, it doesn't look to difficult. looks like a filter and foam corners. i can buy a filter from home depot or lowes and foam corners all for under 20.00 which will probally have materials for four replacments. i know the filter quality will not be as good as oem, but it's worth a try.
  10. my back plastic cover on the master key broke, now my key is very wobbly. Does anyone have an extra back cover they want to sell? I called the dealer and they said you have to buy the whole key since they don't sell parts for the key. If not, anyone have any ideal how to fix this? JB weld?? I would love to save 250.00 if someone has an extra back plastic cover. Thanks
  11. has anyone replaced theirs? can you make your own? if so how? i would like to save 50.00 if i can do this myself. how do you access this filter?
  12. Ron, Thanks for running the Carfax. I received it and this will help with my purchase decision. From a fellow S. Californian, Thank you very much!!!!!!!!!!!!! Calvin
  13. If you have access to a free carfax, can someone run vin JT8BD68SXY0088720? Thanks If possible, please email to corkycalvin@yahoo.com. Thanks
  14. Guy, Thanks for the reply. Is there any way I can have your email address. I have other questions for you. If you would like, you can also email me at corkycalvin@yahoo.com. I was not able to get the relay diagram. Thanks
