  1. Not really ugly, but very plain vanilla for sure IMHO. Still looks better than the early Tauruses though.
  2. hands down, Pontiac Aztec! :o They were smoking something real nasty in the styling dept at GM that week
  3. Dump the Audis and run! :o I've owned 5 Audis, and know what a maintenance nightmare they are. And a friend of mine just dumped his '03 A6 for the same reason. Needed a new torque converter at 50k miles, for heck sake! Give me a break!! And that was just the start of his issues with the car.
  4. What he said B) I paid $16k for my '99 a couple months ago, and it only had 34k miles on it. So far, an awesome car!!
  5. Sorry. have to chuckle here :D I don't really have an opinion about Hyundai. But, if you sub the name Lexus for Hyundai, and Mercedes for Lexus, this thread would be right at home over at www.mercedesshop.com ;)
  6. Sweeet ride! B) I'd be happy with just putting a stick trannie in mine!
  7. I'd get it over to the guy that did the wiring! If he's supposed to be reputable, he should stand behind his work!
  8. Might want to check in over at the detailing section of the forum with this.
  9. Can't really help ya, but I'd say you have something going on that's not normal, to say the least. Mine's pretty stable at all speeds(all the way up to 120mph!)
  10. Sorry. This forum can be a bit slow. When you get a response, it's usually helpful, though. I'm new to Lexus, so can't really answer your question. Personally, I'd keep the car though. I did lot's of research on these cars before buying mine a couple months ago, and plan on keeping it way past 100k miles. They seem pretty solid and trouble free.
  11. There's nothing a Lexus dealer will do different than any reputable service center can do. Save yer money.
  12. Just bought a set from these guys: http://www.innerauto.com/store/products.ph...it=0&page=2 Nice, but a bit over priced for what you get. But they do fit well, and look great.
  13. I lke the rims! what are they? Been wanting to upgrade my ho-hum factory jobs.
  14. Ever heard of snake oil? About the same catagory. Those same kind of gadgets are advertised in some old car magazines I have from the 1950's. Been around forever. Seem to be re-"invented" every so many years. Save your money.
  15. ........or ANY Mitsubishi product! Been there, done that!
  16. Yeah, I tried to stir it up here, worked for awhile, but then died back down. Oh well. B) Been mostly laying low, other than going to work. Am having some wierd health probs, and can't do much. Have the doctors stumped. My main "hobby" is rebuilding my 85 year old house. Been a lot of hard work, but very satisfying :)
  17. Here's whatcha need! http://www.swiftracing.com/turbochargers/l...gs300/index.htm
  18. Jeeze! Go for the Toyota! Nothing Lexus can do for you that a reputable Toyota dealer can't.
  19. Ok. Maybe it's time to have the moderator just delete this thread. It's getting kinda twisted. Too much misunderstanding, me thinks. It's a redundant thread anywho.
  20. If you saw where I took my GS up to speed, you'd agree it was a safer area than even a track! Nice big, long, wide open, flat stretch of highway way out in the middle of a nice big, long, wide open, flat stretch of nothing in N. central Utah. :P I'm not THAT stupid. ;)
  21. uh.........yes, father. I PROMISE never to go fast again.
  22. Oh gads. Just saw the other post "How fast have you gone". Nevermind! :whistles:
  23. Just wondering what these things are capable of. (I assume the GS400 does more) I took my GS300 up to 120mph today, and it felt like it had more to go, but the wife was all but beating on my shoulder to slow down! :D
  24. When I was living up in Seattle, we used to have annual "Get-togethers"(GTG's) with a bunch of the locals from Mercedesshop forum. They were alot of fun, and got to see alot of nice cars up close. I decided one new Mercedes I'd own in a munute, budget allowing, is G-Wagon. Awesome vehicle! This one guy showed up with an AMG version, with the 5-liter V-8, and supercharged. He was getting something like 500HP at the rear wheels! When he left, he about pulled the front wheels off the ground, with 3 people on board.
