  1. I couldn't imagine my dash with out the nav screen in it. The back up camera alone makes it worth it to me, along with the touch screen menus. BTW, while we are talking about the stock nav units, I have mine set to almost as dark as the settings will let you go, and I think it's perfect. Not to bright, and still easy to see day or night. What do you guys have your set at? and what do you think ?
  2. I listen to all my music from my Ipod and the vaitech. I think I had a CD in the CD player once to check out a few songs, but that's about it. Maybe you just need to get a little more with the times. I remember having to press FF and rwd on the tape deck, and if you had automatic pause search stop function so it would automatically stop for the next song, you were really pushing the techno edge! LOL!!!
  3. I'm with BillyShaft on this. How in the heck are you climbing in the car? Ok, try this, when you start to get in, put your right foot between the gas pedal and the brake pedal and just allow the rest of you to follow. It sounds like your climbing in head first! LOL!!
  4. I think Lincoln/Ford generally just get a bad rap. I know of alot still on the road with well over 150k miles clocked and still running strong. I owned a Mazda B2300 pick up ( all Ford with a Mazda emblem on it) for 9 years, and ran well over 200k miles on that truck, with only required maintenance and tires, ever! And that truck took a beating! It later became our shop truck, driven by atleast 15 different people, and the day we sold it, everything worked just the way it was supposed to. The only one thing I ever found annoying was the cheap plastic covers on the window cranks that kept popping off. But other than that, not a single problem.
  5. What do you mean "pick out?" I only ask because I've never even thought this was an issue! In fact, I didn't even know anyone paid much attention to this. So if you and others have a good point here that I've overlooked.......... Exactly! That's what I was stumbling about trying to say earlier... LOL! The mere fact that you were able to assemble the Mach 5 consortium on such short notice, submit all the paper work thru the appeals process and arrange for the courts judicial time to hear this case. I don't see how you could have stumble around much.
  6. I know my wife doesn't like it when I give her a quick wipe with a moist finger!
  7. Yep. And you have touch screen access if you have the nav option or center console access if you don't via the cd control buttons. It also charges the ipod for you, and it sounds much better than the aux input!
  8. Fair enough! Something artistic and awe-inspiring. Post up 3 or 4 of them when the time comes and we will poll on which one you are allowed to use Actually, I did like the hybrid photo 1990LS posted too! Honestly smooth, your car looks fantastic...just amusing myself here. Yeah, I know, it's just I wasn't crazy about that pic of my car anyway, and I was planning to update to better pic later. But hey, ya gotta please the fans and do what you have to once in awhile. LOL!!
  9. It's not some random pic of a Lexus, that's my car! The one I'm working on! Ok, her's my offering. I'll stick with the Mach 5 until I get a better pic of my car. Then I'll switch it over. Btw, this is actually the 3rd time I have changed my avatar on this forum.
  10. So, does this mean you really liked the Speed Racer Mach 5 avatar?
  11. The shark fin is just there. It's not attached to anything. In order to have XFM or Sirrius, you still need to purchase the digital reciever and have it installed. They can hook it up to the shark fin then.
  12. I appreciate all of your response and I will be checking around and asking him for a complete list tomorrow. I will re-post soon. Also I haven't damaged the rotors that I know of...not sure how I would with all normal wear and tear only. We just drive it as we would any normal car not using it for racing or anything special performance wise.....I It's strange. It appears for some reason that IS250 okie has gone back and edited thier posts. They had originally posted that they had a friend that owned an auto shop and was offfering them a friendly price to do a brake job. But when is250 okie came here to find out if it was a good deal or not, found out that maybe they didn't have such a good friend in the auto biz. I think the price was 800-1000 bucks. Something like that anyway.
  13. I would just look on Ebay for a used one. The other problem your gonna have is if you only buy one, it's gonna look all brand new and clear, and the other one is going be the old one. You could probably get one for cheap. 50- bucks tops.
  14. I just checked thier prices and Tire rack has them beat by quite a bit. Look up 255/35/19 summer tires and look at Goodyear F1 Asymetrics. On Tire Rack their 252 bucks each. On 1010 tires they are 304 each. Same tire. <_<
  15. Thanks. :) I just love cars alot!! ;)
  16. Nope, no messing with the polls. I promise. ( I don't think I can by the way.) Just saw the moderators menu, and actually I can. LOL!!
  17. This is all to funny. But I also noted that the Lexus pic has taken the lead!!! Yes!
  18. :o my avatar? But the new one is my car......... :(
  19. Sounds like the Tungsten is more of what we want then. We do not want a silver car that is for sure so I am hoping it is more white. I will have to see them in person. Thanks Tungsten is Silver--it is not white at all. Glacier Frost is the color that has all the different shades of white/blue/purple. In some light, it looks like primer. The current white on the IS is Starfire Pearl. In '06 it was called something else; but Tungsten has always been silver, and Glacier Frost has always been hard to describe. That's right. My bad. I was thinking Millinium Silver of 01-05's was the silver.
  20. Yeah, I think that's what he's referring to also.
  21. It's the different metal flake colors in the paint. If I'm not mistaken, starlight pearl has a pinky, bluey metal flake and tungsten pearl has more of a silvery shimmer to the white, and frost mica is more just white.
  22. We've pretty much gone over all this. No, you can't lock the key fob in the car. The car won't let you. If the battery dies, in the key fob is a real key that fits the lock under the plastic cover on the door handles.
  23. Yeah, I don't know. I agree, you need a drop, but there's something else missing. It's like the rims are too open. Are those the hot swaps? The spokes have covers and can be changed to other colors? or no?
  24. Yup. But I would still take it in first to have them test the sensor and make sure it's the cause first. They can also take a look at that other code and make sure one isn't causing the other or vise versa. That's just my advice.
