  2. Getting my black ES300's hood and door repainted is it base coat clear coat? thanks :whistles:
  3. You buy what floats your boat but as far as worth go to kbb.com or autotrader.com and punch up you cars info and only punch avg. nother more and that will be top trade in value they will give you.
  4. Falkens would cost you 75.00 a piece and I have 2 tires your size brand new for $100.00 they are great tires I am on my second pair I liked them so much.Just an idea ask around see what others think.PS,thats free shipping also...
  5. Product called NOK-OUT best stuff out there... google it
  6. It does'nt look like an odd center cap. I have seen them before. check ebay is best bet I would say.
  7. You can put glazes on but thats all , like meguiars -03,05,07,81,and no wax or sealant. well maybe some but play it save with these.
  8. I AGREE !Dont cut back now you got everything else use good mf's
  9. Jon's got ya covered army it's really easy just feel with the clay and your hands and keep it slick. Hey you like meguiars I see huh? LOL
  10. Goodyear seems to have the suv tire to beat dunno if it comes in your size though.
  11. Much better tires out there than the toyo also, triple treads are great falkens ziex 512 will save you a ton of money also. but check it out not the toyos or 900.00 for tires please!
  12. Just picked up my 2002 BLACK LS430 and I will be becoming my own DETAILER. Where is the best deal on a PC? Is there a good package out there with all the right PC accecceries? My car has scratches (moderate) and swirls to initially get out....... I believe my Black paint has a clearcoat. Try properautocare.com,autogeek.com, autopia.com,pakshak.com,meguiarsonline.com,just for a start Also amazon and ebay of course.
  13. So you think 4 3/4 or 5" backing plate is best? and what about the counter weight does the pc come with one or do you add this? What size to add the 5" or 6"? If I go with the 5" backing plate and the 6 1/2 pad this should work right? I guess I read to much but so many detailers have there opinions and I only want to buy this stuff once and get it right. I dont know why pc just doesnt give you the right backing plate and such ,would be so much easier.:chairshot: There are two different counter-weights, which are clearly marked to indicate use with either the 5-inch, or 6-inch backing pad. Therefore with a 6-inch backing pad for polishing you should use the 6-inch, 0.140 oz. counterweight (PN 699933) (I also feel this counter weight cuts down on vibration whatever size pad is utilized) The vibrations that are generated at higher speeds when using a 5-inch weight and a 6-inch pad are unacceptable for most people Sorry TOGWT I did not follow your last sentence. Can you please explain it again for me? You started out saying basically 6"counter weight for 6" backing plate but I plan to use a 5" backing plate with a 6 1/2" pad so do you feel I may be better off with the 6" counter weight or did I not understant ? thanks John
  14. So using the zaino swirl remover first then you can apply like wolfgangs sealant that could work no problem?
  15. The 55 series Falken's & lower series (50,45 etc) start to loose vital grip on slippery surfaces after about 22k - 23k miles, but overall value is still excellent. The 60 & up series even more so & if I had to do it all over again (for my wife's leased Focus - 205 50 16) I would go Falken again as that is a unusual size. B) Finding the tire you like in your size can be a pain especially if you start going to a larger rim. I can not get the tripple treads in my size like I wanted, but they may add new sizes in time also. :whistles:
  16. When you use zaino are'nt you more less commited to their line of products though? Can you put the zaino product over a different product with out fear of not bonding? After reading around a person can get confused so I ask is this the case with products like zaino or zymol? Is it best to stay with the same family of product from point a-z?
  17. Thanks much. I drive 40k mi per year, mostly hiway. Treadlife, wet weather and noise are priority for me. Will do the homework. Agree with the rotation sched. I usually exceed promised tire milage. actually I just checked tirerack and they are $119.00 a tire after the 10.00 rebate. compare any tire to the triple tread and see who can compete. If you go with them please let us know we would love to hear updates.
  18. I would be looking at the goodyear fortera triple tread if it comes in your size with out a doubt. check out Lexusfreeks thread on it he's the one that turned me on to it. When my cherokee needs tires I will see if any tire can beat it on paper.
  19. Fairly new tire on the market.....as of early Jan 06, tirerack only shows about 229,000 miles from folks who have purchaed them. Wait until at least 2 million miles are reported to have a better idea of overall performance. ;) 400 treadwear isn't bad, but they aren't cheap to buy either. ;) I C Lexus that makes sence
