  1. Because Lexus only list the whole assembly as a part. Why would you turn down free parts and free labor?
  2. I have 3 luxury cars (2 Lexus and Benz), all of them recommend (not required) premium gas and I have only used regular unleaded gasoline. It has worked just fine. Save your money (it does matter in today's gas price). And you can use Kmart motor oil in the Benz and it will still run, but I would not recommand it.
  3. Its probably a LED, you might need to replace the circuit board.
  4. Make sure the GS doesnt have any dash rattles. The GS line is famous for rattle problems especially the 06.
  5. Silver will always hold up better than Black and its alot less maintenance.
  6. Gee, a Lexus not handling as good as a BMW in high speed? Who would have though :)
  7. Rumor has it that it will be a mini version of the LX, which means it will be around the same size. The new engine is a 4.6L V8 making about 300 HP. It will have air suspension, maybe as an option. It will still be design for off road and towing.
  8. The GS doesnt have air suspension, just the varible shocks.
  9. I would not fix it for that kind of money, its just another bad design from lexus.
  10. The 300 is underpower, if you use to driving V8, you will be disappointed with the 300. The 430 and the 350 is about the same performance wise, both does 0-60 in a little 6 sec. The 430 have nicer leather and varible suspension.
  11. The Lexus battery is guarantee for 7 years? I never knew that.
  12. That damper is the recir damper, it should open and close when you push the recir button.
  13. Lol, you are lucky you got 7 years out of a battery.
  14. The recir have to be in a certain position when you change the HVAC filter, It states that in the manual. Many owners have replace the HVAC filter without setting the recir mode to the proper position which will result in breaking the recire damper. I last tome I check, to fix that recir damper was a $1600 job if you go to the dealer.
  15. If your GS300 is less than 4 years old, you can still get the Lexus extendard warranty, its the same as the CPO.
  16. No independent fuse for each mirror, you might have a bad motor.
  17. I would go for the low mileage one, the extended warranty itself is worth $3000, so another $2000 for the lower mileage is well worth it. Lexus are pretty reliable cars, but they are also very expensive to fix. The power train usually hold up well, but all the electronics do braak once a while.
  18. That price sounds about right. The problem is that, even though you hardly use the sunroof, you should still exercise it every month to keep thing lubricated and in good working order. The tracks and the sunroof motor do freeze up if you dont use it a lot.
  19. They took out the overide button the in new version of the Nav.
  20. Even with the force air injection, your GS will never be able to run rings around MB AMG, Audi RS series and the M-Series. The GS is simply not design for handling. You can change the shocks and the springs, change the control arms and suspension links, stiffen up the chassis with re-enforce steel, then you might have something there.
  21. Did you say your car vibrates when the engine if off?? Holy crap, I have never heard that one before.
  22. K&N, like all the orher so call performance drop in panel filter does nothing for horse power or gas mileage. About the only difference is that the engine will feel quicker due to the new filter and it is louder. To increase horsepower noticebly, you need a K&N cold air intake kit.
  23. Those are call day time running lights, they are not require in the US either. They are always on for your safety, so other people can see you in foggy or rainy condition. The only way to turn them off is using a dealer hand held computer.
