  1. I was wondering how much weight can the self leveling suspension (safely) take? I am always concerned when hitching up a trailer with a significant tongue weight as I don't want the suspension to "over exert itself" and be ruined. Any ideas? Also, my intention is not too put as much weight as possible on the tongue but I am not really sure what the best method is to estimate tongue weight.
  2. My radiator leaked at 49k miles. I am very glad I purchased an aftermarket extended warranty. It almost paid for itself after the $800 the Lexus dealership charged to do the repair.
  3. Thanks! It does appear to be a bad motor as it works sporadically. I deactivated the backup function and hopefully that will buy me some time before I have to replace it.
  4. Does anyone know if there is an independent fuse for each mirror? My passenger side mirror stopped working today and I am wondering if it may be a fuse. Thanks!
  5. The clunk repair is covered under the 7 year 70,000 mile power train warranty so make sure you get it repaired before you hit the 70k mile mark. Make sure you have the TSB in hand when you walk into the dealer and tell them you would like the problem corrected.
  6. It is my understanding that the clunk problem on the GX stems from the variable height suspension and hence the 4runner should not have the same issue (as it lacks the variable height suspension). Isn't that accurate?
  7. Got mine repaired yesterday and it's now smooth as silk! I would highly recommend you do this before the warranty expires but make sure you walk in there with the TSB or they will try to pull some B.S. about this not being covered by the 7 year warranty or it being another unrelated problem. On another note, I also had to have my radiator changed. Thank God I bought an extended warranty!
