  1. thats why you have two settings done on your turbo one setting @8psi and another @18psi for daily driver and the high power for i just got yelled at by my boss and need to take it out on the road kind of day......or just plain fun
  2. the reason why the guy said 1000 for clutch is because you also need the fly wheel and other things to go with it. you said $109 thats just the clutch. you have to remember that there are so many little things that have to be considered and it will come as a surprise. so keep you eyes open ;)
  3. is it worth it to you? the clutch kit is a small part of it. you need clutch pedal and master cylinder and all of that. you need a manual trans computer (another 1000 if you buy from the dealer) if you go 5 speed you can go and buy the factory drive shaft (it might be the same) or if its 6speed you need a custom one. if i were going this far i would do a swap with the engine and manual trans with it.
  4. the lower ball joint is a separate piece from the lower arm so it can easily be changed.
  5. i think that the block is ok for about 1000 but dont know if the bearings, rod and crank will survive. baisicly you need some work done if you want that much power....wait make that alot if work
  6. 970! :o man i got to see that !! im going to search right now
  7. oh yea kind of off the subject but i downloaded this video with a TT SC that kills two 11second RX-7s and a viper on the freeway. i dont know how to post it but i got it off lime wire searching on drift video or drift. try it its kind of cool. they post it as lexus burnout or something like that.
  8. hey bubbles do you think a hole saw may have worked to get the majority of the rubber out then maybe a sharp rasp used for wood working would have worked? well for you people wondering why i changed to whole arm it is because the ball joint had play in it too and the sometimes bumpy roads in hawaii are just irritating with that poping noise.
  9. man that took you 6 hours? i took off and put the new arm in in an hour and a half and thats taking pictures too. so i figure a generous 3 hours for taking off and putting on time for both arms, how long did it take you to put those new bushings in? i would think it would take about an hour per side of cleaning the old bushing out and putting in? maybe im wrong but i still want to be able to beat your challenge man that burning rubber must have stunK!
  10. yea cant live without it i tried without it and it felt like my back was going to go out
  11. my breaker bar is only about a 1 and 1/2 breaker bar and if you look closely in the picture there is a red handle on it that is off of my floor jack to get some extra leverage. so you can use a pipe or something to make it easier.
  12. your right if you look at it quick its like an"L" it kind of looks like the lexus mark if you look at it like you are looking at it diagnaly. but sorry no clue about what those rims are
  13. two seats all the way ! looks better but double the work. also looks like you couldnt buy the second one :o
  14. i remember someone putting supra seats in and mentioning weight savings and all try doing a search. as for aftermarket buckets im sure they make a rail but if you want it to be as low as possible then you might want to consider making your own. i just made brackets for my friends civic and it was a bit of work measuring and cutting and welding. but it was a lot cheaper than buying the brackets (as long as you have a welder or atleast access to one.)
  15. if you can look at a few pics above the arm bushing totaly separates from the rubber that hold it and when you reverse and brake you hear and feel a knocking noise. other prolems may be that the car doesnt track straight and doesnt allign.
  16. in any case aj i right there are many factors of turbo and supercharge so it would be best to go and talk to a professonal and tell him your needs and he will tell you hi$ need$ and work out what you will get
  17. yea the arm was a bit over 500 but i got it for a bit over400 i dont remember the exact price. try and call toyota and see if the nubers match up. the arm in the picture is a passenger side.
  18. lag can be reduced by tuning so if you go turbo get lots of good tuning done
  19. the kind that connects to a big intercooler and twin turbos but from what i hear the BFI is cheap and good otherwise i would go for a good brand name HKS,INJEN,GREDDY stuff like that.
  20. ill send an e-mail soon and yes the ball joint comes with the new arm. the package next to the arm comes with the arm and it is just a new crown nut and clip(almost like a cotter pin) that is an SC arm I should call up toyota and see if the part numbers are the same. (thats the passenger side if anyone was wondering.) the ball joint puller i bought from NAPA or Sears(craftsman) but i think its NAPA because it doesnt have a name on it. the gap between the two fingers needs to be 1and 3/8 inch gap or 35mm(3.5cm) and thanks on the complimets of the pictures if you noticed i tried to show the size of the socket (most times) on what i was taking off.
