  1. where is JIBBY? he could answer some modding questions
  2. diff mount/bushings?
  3. no i mean the vertex ridge kit not just the normal kit.
  4. bottom line is use common sence. after putting on the T-belt rotate the crank with a ratchet or sumthing and see if anything hits (like valves) and after 2 crank rotations see if all of the timing marks line up again.
  5. vertex makes a wide body kit, which is the only wide body kit that is clean and still retains the soarer look.
  6. well if you think about it it is a "race" part, not really meant for everyday driving.
  7. you can adjust those so that they are less aggressive thus making less noise.
  8. the drive shaft length has to be changed
  9. had that problem in my 90. it turned out to be the trunk seal. and as a result my spare tire rim got all corroded
  10. its under the spark plug cover which also is connected to the distributor cover.
  11. why? doing 12 seconds on the quarter is very respectable.
  12. that squeeling noise might be due to a clogged filter in the trans or the cork gasket has shrunk and is now letting air get sucked between the trans and filter. try changing your trans filter, i had a problem with symptoms you describe and it gave my trans a new breath of life. its only about 50 bucks. oh and if it cures it and few months later it comes back. you need to change the filter again becasue burned clutch material may flake off and clog your filter again.
  13. yea my s2000 would be neck and neck to a boxter with a 125hp shot of nos an sc would kill a boxter or an s2000 for that matter.
  14. go find a good shop that can rebuild it. i had my LS trans rebuilt last month for just about $2000. i personaly know the mechanic, he has a shop near the shop i work at. but i think that is the price of a normal rebuild there. bottom line find a good independant shop that is certified to do auto trans.
  15. good fun! boxters are slow. they only do 0-60 in the mid to low 5's with a good driver.
  16. im just saying fyi. diddnt mean to offend..sorry...
  17. i used mobile non syn till about 10k miles on my car, then went mobile syn.
  18. cool! there is also a diy section in the tutorial that has the stp by step install.
  19. by theory its actually better to use higher octane fuel with older cars becasue of the carbon build up on the pistons and combustion chamber.
  20. wasnt T-II developed specifically for the LS/SC transmissions? why would you want to change or mix fluids that were in there from the factory. and its a fact that these transmissions act funny when you put in just any old dex-II/III. The fact is T-IV superceeds T-II and should be used. using a dex formula could result in trans. failure!
  21. honestly if your trying to save like 3-4 bucks cheaping out on 87 octane buy a different car!!!!!!!!!!! too many people ask the same question!!! the answer is NO!!
  22. throttle body cleaning?
  23. try and jack up the front of the car and see if you can turn the wheel by your hands( you have to push kind of hard back and forth to see if anything moves. if it does then try to find out where it is because it could also be your inner tie rods that are worn and have play in them. if there is movement then take the undercover off and look at the steering rack. look at where it mounts and try to determine if the mounts are worn. the bushings should cost somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 bucks?
