  1. I have found that there is VERY little out there that will fit my 2004 LX470. I guess not much demand. Even tire options are very limited. :(
  2. Don't see alot of custom wheels for the 2004 LX470. Tire selection is nto that abundant either. Does anyone know of a compnay that is doing anything with the wheels for my 2004 LX470? :(
  3. From what I inderstand my dealer uses nothing but 100% synthetic oil now. Used to be 50/50 but my 2004 has nothing but 100% synthetic installed .
  4. Have 900 miles on my new 2004 LX470 and have not noticed any vibration. In fact the 2004 is much more quiet than my 2001 LX470. I hope you get it worked out. Have you checked the tire balance?
  5. Not sure when it changed but they changed the front end/steering and added larger wheels and tires. The handling is WAY better than my '01. Some where along the line they went to the 5 speed tranny which I find really nice. It shifs down with only moderate pressure on gas pedal. I also got the night vision, which wa the only option. I tow a jet ski alot and I do not like how the new hitch works whre is come out of the middel of the bumper rather than under it. Other than that I love the unit.
  6. So, does that mean he wants to drive and watch the DVD movies at the same time? :chairshot:
  7. I just traded my 2001 LX470 in for the 2004 LX470. I drove the 2001 model for 40K miles. In all the time I owned it I have only one problem. There was a growling noise in the steering wheel motor that moved the steering wheel into driving position when I started the vehical. The Lexus people knew about this and did the fix and I never heard it again. Other than that everything worked perfectly on this vehical for my 40K miles. Hope my new one does the same.
  8. Thanks Ken, I will give it another try and let you know how it works. ;)
  9. I just purchased a new 2004 LX470 and could not be more happy. The night vision is a real hoot and really helps on those long dark country roads. My friend has the Mecedes and love my 470 way better. No doubt about the quality but there IS a difference in price. This is my 3rd LX470 so you know I am sold.
  10. Just purchased 2004 LX470 2 days ago. Have 3 garage doors of which I have programmed two with no problem to use the Lexus Homelink. The third door has the "rolling code" thisng but I have followed the instructions and can not get it to operate this particular unit. The Opener is the Overhead Door Signature series. I hit the l;earn button on the opener and have tried two pushed of the button with an additional push as the manual indicates. I also went to the OverHead door website and they say push the learning button and then the homelimk button 3 times, still no go. Anyone got any suggestions?
  11. I hear that 2005 is the last year for the LX470. Lexus will replace it with a new model based on the Sequoia. Bigger to compete with the larger USA SUVs.
