  1. Sounds like we might have lost our temper. Best place will be by putting in a order at your local junk yard and it will NOT be cheap but would cost less than the dealer. Crutchfield? NOT!
  2. I would say that they put something back together wrong when removing you dead rodents. If you could get back to them, I would get THEM to fix it.
  3. You need to take it to a dealer or qualified service tech with the equipment to check your headlights. Making the adjustments without the proper equipment is not advised. They may not need adjusting at all.
  4. We need some dates and pictures :cries:
  5. Don't get me wrong, I do not want a bigger JX either. The same size would be fine with me and I would like to have those extra horses but they were not to be found in 2004. The 5 speed tranny has to make a difference too.
  6. Would not next year be a 2007. I am really looking forward to a new LX as I am on my 3rd and will keep it till they do something! My big wish list is MORE power and how about a built in SAT radio system. The night vision thing as not worth it, at least I have tried to use it and it does little. I think the voice control could use ALOT of work. I would love to have keyless ignition/entry. Of course I want my comfy ride but with an attitude! :o
  7. I do both, but lets face it, how many miles do you put on the dirt v.s. to road. I use my LX to travel and then expect it to get off the road when I get there. :o
  8. I just got off the phone with Lexus Annapolis and was told there would be no changes to the LX470 for the next two years.Except for maybe a tailight. But I've heard more people say that 2007 will bring a change to the LX470 on this forum. Well I have owned the LX for the last 8 years and love it but am ready for a change. If they do not change it I will be looking else where for my next SUV. Nothing wrong with the LX but I think it is getting a little old. :(
  9. If it is a 2004, it should be covered under warranty and repair for free.
  10. The "Growling" noise made by the steering column is fixed for free as there is a service call on it. I have mine done a 25k and it has not made a noise afterwards
  11. I have the 2004 LX, also. Purchased new. They did do a DVD map upgrade at no cost but have not had any major problems other than the NAV system still telling me that I have reached my destination when I am still not near being there. My 2002 LX never did this. Hope they get it fixed before the new LX comes out.
  12. The very earlest we will see the new 2007 JX will be very late 2006 or early 2007 according to my dealer. He did talk to someone in the regional Lexus office and confirmed the JX for 2007.
  13. I know there have been many threads on when the LX is going thru "the change" I am driving a 2004 LX and am considering replacement but would like to wait till they change the LX. As I see no info here are there other websites that would have any info on the makeover?
  14. People must drive much differently that I as I got 32500 miles on my 2004 LX 470 and the pads are less than half gone. I just do not see how anyone could go thru their brakes so fast.
  15. $1100 out the door for the 18" Michelins on my 2004 LX470. Few choices for tire brands with this vehicle. (275R60-18) I did go back to the Michelins as they gave me great service for the first 35k miles with my LX.
  16. I think you can go into the system and simply delete the phone.
  17. I have a friend who just bought the 06 Land Cruiser, it is nice! Sometimes I wonder why I buy the Lexus as the Land Cruiser is simply outstanding. Loving this Florida weather, still doing the JetSki in the St. Johns with no wet suit!
  18. Heck I will be happy if the NavSystem has Sat. Radio. Love to have more horses and a Bluetooth system that worked with my Blackberry!
  19. Everyone's butt is going to be a little different. Some are going to prefer one over the other...you might disagree. Take them both for a test drive. Personally, I prefer the LX 470 to the GX 470, but then...there's the price difference. I think the LX 470 is a superior product; it's been in existence longer -- much more time to iron out any bugs that might've popped up along the way. But again...this is just my opinion...some might agree, some might not. ← dj2, your answer is what i've been looking for.An opine on these vehicles.I will have to have to visit a dealership and try the vehiculars out.But as I am just now researching them I wanted some opinions from owners,THANX ← I am on my 3rd LX470 and can not see me buying anything different. I only await the "Newest" 2007 of which the dealer says I will ge the 2nd one delivered cause the owner thinks he is special. The LX470 ride is about as nice as it gets. I would not mind a little more power and I hear that is on the way.
  20. Not sure but from what I hear the 2007 LX470 is the "new" one. Hard to find alot of good facts, even my dealer says they hear the same rumors that we do. I will keep my 2005LX till then ← I read something that it would be based on the Sequoia--I see that as less than ideal. ← I have heard that is is based on the Sequoia and also not. I do trust Lexus to come up with something special either way and I will be getting the 2nd one delivered at my dealership. The darn owner get the first!
  21. Not sure but from what I hear the 2007 LX470 is the "new" one. Hard to find alot of good facts, even my dealer says they hear the same rumors that we do. I will keep my 2005LX till then
  22. Could you explain in detail how to get my Nextel Blackberry 7520 to work with my 2004 LX470? I have tried with little success.
  23. There is a service fix for this exact problem. My steering column would "growl" when retractiing after pulling the key. Lexus knows about it and a bushing might need to be replaced or lubricated. After mine was fixed, I heard no more noise or vibration when pulling the key.
