  1. So as usual I drive with caution. I guess if you do over 60 you will hit bumps and other stuff that will make the LEX jump. I think all of the north has crappy roads. Ohh well just drive and enjoy every second! My LEXUS took fifth at the LEXFEST.. Oh wait I did not wash her for two weeks and there were only five LS400/430s. Cheers to LEXUS and UFC. Did anyone watch the Ultimate Fighting on Sunday. It was awesome!!
  2. Yeah sorry about that.. THE SC..
  3. Hey ladies and gents.. Seems all gents and no ladies.. Anyway.. What is the best way to sand rotors? Or buy new? Mine look okay but the round part is rusted. So I either need to take it apart and use a sander? Maybe I could take off tires and give it the gas with some sandpaper. :) Maybe 1000 grit..?
  4. There was some people from Orlando, Michigan and Ontario. Also they had a lot of LEXUS stuff like hats, cups, drink bottles and other items. Hopefully this will be a yearly thing and there will be double the people next year. This one guy who was about 62 showed up with a brand new S model LEXUS. It was really nice.
  5. On top of all the fun my wife went for a ride in the team LEXUS DRIFT show. She stated it was fun and kewl, but I was really worried. I had to try to time the pictures since the damn thing was going all around. I was like man dont hurt my wife. Although its easy to know that they guy knows what he is doing, its still scary. It was so fun and wild. I also heard something about an manual IS.
  6. At 65k this LEXUS was a 98. The LEXUS was messed up! The front end was bad. SW do you have the ES? Reguardless that is awesome! I know people who have crappy cars with stock everything at 300k. For sure how you drive will help in the long run.
  7. Just returned from the Saturday events and it was really fun. I would say there was between 80 to 100 LEXUS's. The break down was about 45 IS, 7 LS400/430, 25 GS and 15 S. It was really kewl! Team LEXUS was really nice and exciting. The food was awesome! Nothing like the normal hotdogs and hamburgers. It was truly LEXUS class dining. The theme was Cuban and there was tons of salads (veg, pasta and cheese) then there was some awesome sandwiches (cuban, grilled chicken and wraps). There was also a ton of some Crunch drink (Red bull want to be), soda and water. Team LEXUS had an interesting LS on an IS frame. I guess they cut out a foot of the car and they are focused on raceing this car. They say they put a few hundred K in this tech. Also there is something about a LEX with 600+ hp. The prizes were awesome. Tons of parts and components for the LEXUS's. Also there was signs and parts to cars that were messed up while racing (complete front bumpers and other things). The drivers signed 1/12 cars and posters. They also spent about 10 minutes doing a really kewl DRIFT. The guy was all over the place and it was wild! There was so much smoke and they kicked some butt. Everyone was really pumped up for the DRIFT! There was more on Friday and Sunday, but obviously I did not attend. For sure there was only one 90-97 LEXUS and that was my Kick !Removed! LEXUS! GO 1993 I will post pictures soon.
  8. Nice job man. Always feels good to fix something for free! Usually I spend 5 hours on something that takes mechanic 1. I use the wrong tools and break more then I fix. CHeers to LEXUS
  9. Interesting. Its always funny that there are some who like the classic and some who like the contempory. I hope mine falls in the middle.
  10. I was curious what would effect the front end in these LS's. I know anything like hitting a curb or a pot hole cant help, but is there anything we should really avoid. I look at the steel assembly with the control arms, rod ends and joints. Looks solid, feels solid, but some people at 50k have a poor ride. Two of the test drives I took had some shaking and clicking in that front end. Any information appreciated.
  11. I never reviewed that website before. Also who is the administrator? I just was unsure of discount since there are three links on the gold page that offer 10%. I know there was a big change in names since LEXUS went after those who used their names. For now on I will check mods first.
  12. Any solutions? I am trying to figure out how to fix my speedo and tacho sticking at 0.
  13. Man I wasted 17 bucks on some stupid clay. I did not buy this until my friend who had the clay stated it would clear it out. I have AIO so I will try that.. Apply it directly and let it sit? Also the spots look like heat damage. You know how they used to have the comercial that showed the guy lighting a part of car on fire. The he what looked like to me a deep burnt mark. This is what I have. When I get home I will try AIO and then see what happens. I think it was a stupid error to use the clay since I just buffed the LS.
  14. http://www.matrixracing.com/ These guys sell a ton of lighting including the LS400 90-94. Damn after I get this I might like my LS more then the 95-00. Maybe I am biased.
  15. Anything to do with the 90-94 rear lights. I love the new clear look. My front end looks 10 times better. Any advice is greatly appreciated
  16. Man that looks nice. I have the clear front bumper lights and they look 10 times nicer then the orange. The orange bulbs I have do not stand out. COUTU_WHEELS.bmp
  17. Using my orbitz I just did the whole process of polish, wax and gloss. LEXUS looks great and I am looking for guidance if there is anything else I need to do for the best look I can get? I plan on getting the paint pen and then touch up a few spots. Wish me luck. Today I bought the clay bar and detail spray wax. I tried to get out old deep oxidation or bird dropping damage. So as it works out I dont think the clay bar did much with the oxidation. Obviously I am trying to get the best looking paint job possible, but maybe my expectations are to high for a 93LS?
  18. Ahhhhhhh BLACK PAINT?? Okay well I washed it in water and rung it out. Now I see some deep oxidation. I tried the clay on it and nothing happened. So I get the impression there is a point of no return or a new paint job. So the polish, wax then glaze with the orbitz is the best it will get.
  19. How do I clean my extremly dirty Orange buffing pad. Maybe I did not clean car well enough?
  20. http://www.stanleylondon.com/brasso.htm Here is the link for that stuff. I dont know if it worked.
  21. Its never a easy task for a young driver to drive a full size LEXUS. The concern is next time it may be a tree instead of a solid bump. Then instead of broken pride it may be a broken neck. Good luck and I hope your kids are safe.
  22. Nice change to the quote. Cheers to LEXUS
