  1. Toys, Great idea, Will do. I zipped the manual and attempted to upload, Goes through what seems like it is uploading then when I Submit post = NOTHING ??? ← Bump, See ya in a few days, Appreciate some help on this please. Thanx. ← It looks like we need some more help on compiling the set of manuals these forums could use. I notice plenty of downloads on the GS manuals so it appears people are using them. It would be nice if more members would post there manuals for there different year/model so we can sticky them on top of there forums.

  4. Looks like you have the bases covered pretty well, Nice job Here is a suggestion: I would like to suggest that you register at www.lexus.com go to the website and download for free the manual for there car and upload to there respective forums. We could get every manual stuck to the top of there respective forum and it would eliminate quite a few unnecesary posts and streamline these boards. I know that it may take a little time/effort on the part of willing members but the payoff is well worth it. Please don't reply to this unless you are going to participate. I really think this would be very helpful to all of us. Just navigate to http://www.lexus.com/ Click on :Owners" then :Register Today" After you are signed in click on "My Car" Then "Owners Manual" Scroll down and you will see the .pdf files for the manual of your car. click and save a copy to your harddrive then upload to the respective forum. Topic title should include the year and model[ Similar to the one I posted ]. Thank you for your time and effort. We could use an early SC manual ← as soon as i get my computer, i will do this for the ES250. also, if anyone neeeds a manual for it, i will send it for free, all i need is an address. ← Army, Was your ES250 a 90? 91L3xus is going to get the manual for the 91. Thanx guys
  5. Guys, How many years was the ES250 produced? There may be a difference in manuals. So we could use one each from the different years

  7. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...topic=25931&hl= If you are in doubt of the sensors just replace them, Usually people replace after they get a CEL and have the code pulled to find out which one.

Is it updated? Will it tell you what wiring is getting crusty, what parts wearout at what time, etc... I am looking for hands on advise from people who did actual changes and found results, Manuals and writeups may miss a few things. That's my take on it anyway. ← The gain is for everyone who uses these forums, Active contributions to the club are always welcome. Most members just ask for help and usually contribute only after a long period of time of "Learning" here. This way you can contribute sooner and be a productive member.

  13. Mrfeb14, Your not going to find a working 12 disc changer for your car, Fujitsu made the changers and they are junk to begin with and no one repairs them. If you want a replacement changer let me know, You need to upgrade to a 96 ES 6 disc changer it comes with the correct mounting brackets and is plug and play.
  14. You need to get the 2003 version Hard drive. ← LEXUS hasn't used a harddrive in the USA since 2000. Although in Japan they are starting to use them again. ← I was talking about the 98-00 navi 2003 update. It is on a hardrive. ← True

  17. Have you tried to reset the ECU/ Disconnect the neg. battery terminal for a few minutes and reconnect. It's worth a try.

  19. That link is for the 02 to 03 update, Not a later version.
  20. Long timer chiming in here, jweiss, You will get to know other members here and there posting habits after you have been here a while, Toys is by no means being condisending/insulting in his posts. There are just some members that have to be handled a little different than others and for good reason. Now I'm not a mod here [ I do mod on a couple of other forums ] And what you posted is more condisending/insulting to toys than he is perceived to be in his posts to others, Sure expectations are high on this site and that should have been taken into consideration before you posted. After all your post has nothing to do with the original topic. Anywho I didn't mean to highjack this thread but as a long standing member I will stand up for what I see as proper on these boards. On with the original topic. And, No I am not going to get into who registered first, It is participation/contribution that counts. ;)
  21. I have only gone to the LEXUS stealer once for warranty work at no cost to me. I always go to the same toyota dealership, same mechanic for any work that I don't have the tools/time/knowledge to do = less $ for labor 99% of the time I purchase the parts beforehand so I just pay labor. I deal with the same service mgr. and always have there top tech [#409 Michael Alhers] work on my cars. I never let anyone else touch the cars. There is a longstanding trust and relationship that is priceless in my eyes.
  22. You can easily change those mounts yourself. Mounts I am guessing less than $200.00
  23. There are many good places to get OEM parts try http://www.luxurymods.com/ or irontoad, sewell lexus, Just google and ask for quotes and find what's best for you.
  24. A cover is good and bad, Where are you going to store it when you take the car out for a drive? It is imparitive that you keep the contact surfaces of the cover clean [ don't set it on the ground ] Yes, I would turn it over at least everyother day and let it warm up to operating temp.[ you might as well drive it around the block a few times rather than just let it idle ] Get snow tires, Jumper cables so you can help others, Plenty of washer fluid, If your not going to cover it I would suggest a good wash and wax, Rain-x the glass then enjoy the ride.
