  1. That bumper could be refinished and painted, but it might look crappy cuz no body shop will bondo that flexable material. You could probably get that same bumper if you call Tap Recycling and maybe lights as well well under a grand. Then take your lady out and laugh all the way to the bank! Hey guys, The bumper is under the cover. The cover is shot and you won't see the bumper until you take the cover off. Probably no damage to the bumper at all.
  2. You won't know if the bumper needs replacing until the cover is taken off. You need a new cover, That's for sure. The lens assembly is an easy job. Just have the shop do the entire job and have it done right. ;) Don't get greedy with the extra cash, Things have a way of coming back to bite you.
  3. Monarch, I didn't know toyota/lexus stocked clorox jugs as a genuine recommended toyota mfg'd part. Wouldn't that be considered an aftermarket part ?
  4. No custom work on this racer B) , That's the way it came from the factory. ;) where did u get it from?? i have been to radioshack and have never seen a GS racer About 4 years ago, I found it on ebay. ;)
  5. I thought Borla was used mostly in American cars. About how much horsepower gain should I expect and how much noisepower gain should I expect? I really don't want anything too loud just to sound a little deeper than stock. look into Tanabe and Apexi also.
  6. Just a guess, But less than $2000.00 for repair. Let us know how much $$$ the shops quote. Get well soon ;)

  8. Congratulations Welcome to the world of REAL CARS. ;)
  9. Made my morning, Thanx Could you scan the actual articals and post ? Every now and then I take a look at your NSX and I really like the car, Must be a blast to drive. B)
  10. I hope your wife is ok, I feel for the lex, Looks like the repairs could be made fairly easy. I really hate looking at a damaged lexus :cries: Personally I would fix it DO or DIE Have one or two.
  11. Body shops, lexus will send you to a shop that they recommend/use on a regular basis.
  12. My guess is if it is just the bumper and a taillight $2000.00 should fix it. But you never know the extent of the damage until you take the bumper cover off. Were the corners pushed at all ? Or is it just the lens ?
  13. Another GS in my driveway, Enjoy B)
  14. ROTFLMAO Now that's what I call funny nc, You da man !
  15. Today the weather was perfect, So I decided to clean the intake, air filter, maf, throttle body. WOW what a difference, I removed the complete intake and k&n air filter and cleaned the intake inside and out and let dry, Then I cleaned tha air filter and oiled it, cleaned the maf with a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol. I proceeded to remove the throttle body and cleaned it with valvoline synpower throttle body cleaner. Put everything back together and took her out for a spin and was impressed once again with the gs and it's performance. I highly recommend if you haven't done this DO IT ASAP and enjoy your car just like the day you bought it. Now get to it.
  16. mine didn't but a local stereo shop just tapped into the signal at the amp and fed it to a sub amp. we put a dual 12 in in the trunk and removed the factory sub for the air to travel throught the rear deck. it all took about 2 hours and sounds great. hope this helps.... Dukabor. No rca connections on any lexus audio.
  17. What audio system is in the car ? Pioneer or nakamichi ? Pioneer system Then your car is not prewired. Even if you had nak you would still have to run a line from the dash to the trunk. So nak/nav install is a hell of alot easier than a total conversion from pioneer. And it will cost you around $3000.00 just for parts if you can find a complete system. The parts was the easy part, the guy wasn't including the harness. Thanks for the info! you just saved me a bunch of $$ Happy to be of help, Now you owe me a beer
  18. Again, NO PREWIRE :cries: But if you have a donor it can be done. Out with everything pioneer including the amp and in with everything nav. You will not be able to pull the line from the trunk to the dash from the donor it is integrated into the body harness. So you will have to run a digital line seperately and that my friend you will have to integrate into the existing connectors which will take a little more than a plug and play. If you are not familiar with this type of work failure is inevitable.

  21. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/10-x-White-LEDs-Ultr...oQQcmdZViewItem So when you replaced the bulbs how did you put them in to have the correct polarity ? The copper contact on the new led's go where ?
  22. Just imagine the gains you would get with the turbonator AND the pills WOW ! ! ! And don't forget to get a performance boost with a nifty resistor soldered into your intake. Now if I owned a Honda ???
  23. Definetly clean everything while the tails are out.
  24. dual element bulbs? 1 element in bulb for brakes, one for turn signals. Pull out bulb & ck elements with a meter OR take it to yer local parts house & they'll test it fer ya. ;) Do yourself a favor and change out all the bulbs on both sides of the tail, Your going to have to remove one side to do a change so it is the best time to do them all and sleep easy. IMHO that is the way to go, I always replace in pairs, never just one side. It only costs a couple of bucks more and the job is done right and will last a few more years.
